Well, the smart way to go would be to air the damn series on Cartoon Network or a terrestrial network, since DisneyXD isn't exactly the most common channel on cable. But they've already f***ed that one up.

i dont understand the "strategy" of waiting until closer to the Avengers movie comes out. wouldn't it make more sense to show as many episodes as possible before the movie comes out instead of premiering at the same time? that way all the kids would be pumped for the movie

Maybe they figure the Avengers movie will draw a bigger audience (which, granted, would seem obvious) and people will then look to the show as a means of getting more Avengers goodness. Or something. I don't know. Nubs is right, TV execs are like a different species.

No, thats not how it works.

Like I posted earlier. Marvel TV has no interest in promoting or pushing the Avengers Movie. Marvel TV does not benefit from the movie. especialy not if they alreday showed all the episodes of season 2.

The best thing for marvel tv would be to wait untill after the movie. So the Kids would be hyped and Avengers:EMH would achiev higher ratings. Thats how Marvel TV would get more money from Disney XD.

Now, HANG ON, let's not throw in the towl just yet. If they're re-airing the Doctor Doom/Fantastic Four premiere they must have SOMETHING planned.

They may even announce the offical release date and it'll be on the 20th like some people guessed.

They've already announced that October would be the 2nd season premiere, they wouldn't want to embarass themselves by saying, "our mistake, it's happening 2012, we're gonna show you the premiere but make you wait for it anyway." That would NOT be cool.

They'd keep a terrific show off the air until the movie, which won't even be close to being like the series will be released in MAY 2012!? I don't get that. That'd be idiotic beyond all reason.

They should at least air half the season and then the other half toward the release of the film. That's all I'm gonna say!

I know this is a bit off topic, but after the success of The Avengers film I hope Thor and Cap can get their own solo tv shows within the next two years.

I know that it's unlikely, but it's just something I'm hoping to see happen.

Yeah, there's been about 4 or 5 different Spider-Man cartoons so it's not like it's been a shortage of Spidey action.

I'm also kind of tired of Batman getting a new show like every 2 years, he's not the only interesting DC character.

By God...They better give us a solid release date today. If it doesn't air on the 20th, I'll....Well, I'll have nothing to look forward to for quite awhile. And that'd be a shame.
