Infinity War Avengers: Infinity War SPOILER User Review Thread - Part 2

100% agreed, but I don't think he means the dusted deaths. I think he means the ones prior to that.

As I've only seen it once so far, remind me who this would apply to...

Loki, Hemidal & Gamora?

I was thinking the same but it just occurred to me that with Stormbreaker opening the Bifrost that Thor could gather the other characters, even Tony and Nebula a lot quicker.

No one but Tony and Nebula know they went to Titan though.

If we didn't see them disappear, I assume they're alive until otherwise noted.

Thor heard about Thanos going to Titan though. And Rocket is on Earth with the others. It's not too much of a stretch to think given the end of the movie that the good guys would go to Titan, and Thor is the only one that has that ability right now on Earth.

True, they can and could go in another direction and [BLACKOUT]given the way Tony looks "older" in the A4 BTS pics it could be he was stranded on Titan for awhile, or stayed off planet for some time.[/BLACKOUT]

While I don't think they should make Shuri Panther in A4 [BLACKOUT]though with the passage of time possibly playing a role in A4 maybe we do see her on the throne, if she survives[/BLACKOUT] I do think it makes a lot of sense for her to be a part of undoing Thanos' actions. Like Thor in IW she now has a strong personal motivation to join the fight.

One thing about the Marvel Studios movies that doesn't get talked about a lot, from what I can see, is how the action is filmed.

For a while there, the fashionable thing was for action sequences to feature so many quick cuts, blurred movement and jumbled footage that it became difficult to follow what was happening. That was meant to seem fast-paced and exciting.

I *really* noticed it in the first Avengers film, because the tendency has become less dominant since then. But the Battle of New York, for example, was amazing partially because it focused on the scale and drama of the whole thing. It didn't rely on lots of choppy editing. It even had the memorable extended shot that included the whole team.

We expect it now from these movies, but it's still something that I notice and enjoy.

Thor heard about Thanos going to Knowhere, not Titan. So even Rocket and Groot wouldn't know the rest of the GOTG went there. The rest of GOTG only knew Thanos was going to Titan as Nebula informed them.

Also, the whole planet of Titan had been razed, so even if Thor does go there he may not find IM, who now has no suit also. I think Nebula will take him to Earth.

I think Nebula will take them both to Earth as the rest of the team would not know to find them on Titan.

I thought Thanos mentions meeting one of the Order on Titan in front of Thor? Isn't that where he was going to meet Maw?

No if you remember he mentions Knowhere, that's why Thor mentions it to the GOTG and why half of them go there. Thor says on the Milano Thanos is going to Knowhere and the GOTG then mention that they know of it.

Probably the Collector too.

I never really thought about that but you guys are probably right.

I'd rather the ones dusted come back then some theories that it'd be other versions of said characters from a multiverse or something.

Krypton is right, Thanos tells the Black Order to meet him on Titan after they retrieve the stones on Earth. Thor puts together that Thanos is going to Knowhere on his own as the reality stone is there, and the soul stone's location isn't common knowledge.

Alternate versions of people is so overdone in the comics. I hope they don't do that here. :(

Agreed. It's one thing I'm a little worried about, but I don't think it's very likely.

I've just seen some speculation that may be what happens and I really hope not

I was reading an article with a theory I never considered: if they get the gauntlet off Thanos, will a sacrifice be required to wield it? Thanos obtained the Soul Stone already, but does that mean the stone is fair game for anyone to use now, or does every person using it need to make that same sacrifice Thanos did? If it does, then that means whoever ends up with it has to kill one of their own.

If this comes to pass, sadly I think that would spell doom for Cap. He'd be the first to line up and be the sacrifice. Plus, he did make a remark about "We don't trade lives" in IW. But, what if victory requires exactly that? I think this theory may have some legs. At the very least, this is plausible.

Not multiverse per se but time travel.

That's an interesting theory, I hadn't thought about that. I could see something like this happening. I wonder if they this would bring back Gamora as well.

I guess it depends on if that rule applies to after the stone was taking from its sanctuary or if that was just the test to get it from that place.

I think it won't at all be a mere continuing of the "fight" against Thanos. It will be a different type of story but... Yeah, please, Spidey and Panther are not going to stay dead. They are having a go at us and it will be that narratively, dramatically they want the audience to buy into the other remaining characters sense of grief. Unless everybody thinks the next GOTG film is just Rocket and Nebula?

I just think they meant the pre-snap deaths. And I feel there will be some sacrifices by the current heroes to get back the new ones and that might mean there will be a case of "death for a death" which maybe what M&M want the audiences to be prepared for.

Not that it will surprise me if they were just flat out lying either. These days with so much of the BTS coverage, you gotta fib a few to keep surprises anyways.
