It was so convincing that people are mostly talking about Thanos.

I mean, of course, yes, Brolin is getting recognition, people know he was the actor behind it. But, while watching the thing, neither the actor nor the CGI really stood out to me.

It was Thanos.

Josh Brolin isn't getting enough recognition for his work as Thanos. He was really, really good.

I saw some youtuber call for brolin to get a nomination.

Brolin pulled off something special in that he had chemistry with every cast member his character interacted with in some form or another.

Well yes, he is the glue that holds this entire movie together. I don't believe the movie could've worked without Brolin being as good as he was. Sure the CGI was impressive (the facial hair!) but his voice, his mannerisms, the way he talked with every other character, the lines he said (Markus & McFeely, the other two unsung heroes in all this), everything just clicked.

Do you guys think there is any truth to Avengers 4 being called Avengers: Beyond the Soul realm.

There was some image posted here, too, but it was met with extreme skepticism.

Justifiably, in my view. Doesn't sound plausible at all to me as a title.

more props to m&m and the russos. i dont think josh even met any of the cast during filming. the directors and l writers made a phenomenal job stitching the story altogether

Brolin did a mocap performance on set so I'm pretty sure he worked with the rest of the cast. Do you have a source that says he didn't?

its from one of those press junket. the guy asked him how does it feel working with a cast this big and he said he never worked with anyone and everything was a mo cap performance on a green screen/studio

I know there are a few pics of Brolin working with some actors, such as the opening sequence, but yeah I believe he said he wasn't on set interacting with everyone as much because of filming Deadpool.

No.. in one of the junkets he talked about shooting a scene with Ruffalo with both of them in mo-cap suits. What happens with mo-cap for Avengers movies is that they do a pre and post alone with the actor but they also have them on set filming with the others. At least that is how Ruffalo explained it for the first Avengers movie.


BTW, that scene looks like when they were canning the last scene of the movie.

i stand corrected. it seems like he did filmed with the cast but they did however used a lot of stand in since brolin was busy with deadpool 2.

I think they’ll avoid Avengers Assemble as that’s what the first movie was called (in he UK at least, I’m not sure what it was in the other European countries).

I wondered if they’d call it Avengers Disassembled.
Partly because the team is partly broken but also, some Avengers are literally disassembled.

Those are actually my top two as well. Avengers Forever because... yes, it's the 4th film, and time travel seems to be involved, and having the Avengers go on forever, even if they are new characters seems like it'll be at least part of the message.

Avengers Secret War because I could definitely see the next movie doing a large time jump, and starting off where the remaining Avengers are secretly planning a war against Thanos.

I did not know they called it that in Europe. Interesting. Yeah that probably rules it out.

I hate when they change the title (unless it's into the native language), here they changed the title for Cap 2 to "Captain America : The return of the first avenger".
It's just hurts my eyes seeing the title of those two movies next to each other (Cap 1 and 2 that is).
Avengers was only called just Avengers here though, and I live in Europe.

Avengers was only renamed to Avengers Assemble here in he UK due to the tv show of the same name.

Recommended purely for Emma Peel in a catsuit.

I think that Avengers name might have been just for the U.K.. For some reason they thought we wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the old Avengers spy TV show.

I actually had this exact idea this morning t: I wasn't sure of it, but now that another person suggested it I feel it might even happen

And what will probably happen is that there wont be any Avengers movies in a long while, the title fits nicely. If there are big event movies (also not very soon, I think), they will be named smt else like "Marvel's Secret Invasion" and along those lines. I also predict there will exist a less powerful team that maybe calls themselves "New Avengers" or something, but they wont be as prominent in the stories. If a movie is made specifically about them, it's a comedy about a team of much less impressive individuals who looked up to the og Avengers. Dr Doom is built up to be a big player, Dormamu might be involved in an event movie, and Marvel takes more stylistic risks confidently. At least, that's what I think will happen...
