You can't go by that. No one was going to see Smurfs because it was great. Peoples childhood nostalgia and their own children were dragging them to see it.
That logic doesn't make any damn sense.
face it the guy gave us some of the best fight sequences ever in a marvel movie.... The climax battle actually lated as long as a SUper Villain fight should
to be fair to the director, what is hulk going to say and who is he going to say it to?
It would be great if the hulk had the same character as the earth's mightiest heroes hulk
Coming from genre trumps simply coming from esteem in my books.
Lest we forget Wolverine Origins(and what joss would have no doubt done with it)
exactly....it worked for Bryan Singer...he went from X-men to Superman
I understand why Smurfs made money. Just like I understand how it helped dethrone Cap from the top of the box office. TFA wasn't that great.
My logic: Cap was beat by Smurfs because it was a bland movie. What's not to get?
I did face it. Now Marvel needs to.
You sorta answered your own question.
My god, you're such a *****e.
Spiderman's hand to hand is always depowered
Supemans is another one that's always depowered, especially for the sake of animation plotting.
Xmen's plotting is always circumstantial. For example Get rid of Xavier in the second act so Wolverine can run around trying to solve problems by stabbing them cause if not...death strike...frozen mutants on Alcatraz..etc.
I think Whedons background is going to give us a very clear pace and situation that enables characters and their powers to shine in a way that makes the most sense possible.
My god, you're such a *****e.
I'm sick of writers who feel they have to bring the superheroes down to a human level to introduce conflict/character developement, how about introducing villians so great the hero questions his ability to take the villian down.
Name calling. Really?
If you like TFA, fine. I have no problem with that. No need to get all pissy because some random dude on the internet doesn't share your opinion.
some people will say how can you hae character development with super powerful beings but I think if the avengers get their arse handed to them (hence tony's line 'if we can't save the would we can avenge it) the character development will happen with how they overcome impossible odds.

He's going to be strong. Strong enough to do what thor can't. Maybe he'll go back to his mile long jumps too.
well in TDK they made joker very smart..but then again they made bats dumber then watson...
In most cases the villains usually are better than the hero which in turn makes the hero doubt himself at some stage. What you want is nothing new.
BTW,I think that, aside from Serenity, the best indication of how this movie could turn out is Joss' work on Astonishing X-men 1-24.What do you think about it?
