Also, I had forgotten about Schism for a second there. He was actually written very well in that story (i definitely sided with him over wolverine in that story). But still, I worry that in AvX, Scott will be the "antagonist" ala Tony Stark in Civil War if you know what I mean.[/QUOTE]
I can definitely see this happening. There's been far too many indications that Cyclops is going to end up as the villain of the piece in some capacity - not least because he has assembled a team filled with former villains, has changed a lot as a character over the last few years, and Sinister's premonition in his last appearance (ie. when we next meet you'll be hated more than I ever was).
I don't mind him being badass but I can't help but miss classic Cyclops. I was re-reading Uncanny # 167 (where Prof X is housing a Brood Queen) the other day and it's got some great quotes and panels which remind you that this guy is a real hero.
