Right, but the neither the FBI, not any Canadian law enforcement agency has EVER been able to indict the "Hell's Angels" on any criminal charges. They have been able to bring charges against the INDIVIDUAL members of the local gangs, but never against the ORGANIZATION. Therefore, it is only suposition as to call them a criminal gang.

The Westboro Baptist Church are a nasty bunch, and they are living in direct defiance against God's written word (seriously, have they even read John 3:16?) But as much of an eyesore as they are, they are not a very big threat to society. Virtually every member of their "church" (I use quotations, because I think of them as a cult group) are members of the same family. I don't think there's much chance that their unique brand of "loveless Christianity" will expand.

However, the fact that these weirdos are willing to travel in busses around the country to picket funerals makes them a very big problem nonetheless. It's an eyesore and all they care about is bringing misery and suffering to the people who have lost a loved one. Their behavior is not only non-biblical, it's anti biblical. Clearly their version of the bible does not have the golden rule, because I'm sure that they wouldn't be too thrilled if there was a demonstration outside every one of their funerals, and yet they are more than happy to do that whenever their neighbors' sons and daughters die.

Here's a question: why aren't they being arested? I mean, I know all about "freedom of speech" and all, but C'MON! They're openly bashing Heath Ledger, a man who loved his craft and had a good heart, and constantly talk about how he's going to hell to burn for all eternity, when he did nothing wrong at all! And on top of that, they had planned on picketing his damn funeral! HIS FUNERAL FOR GOD'S SAKE! His funeral, a time for his family and friends to remember Heath and celebrate the wonderful life he lead, and they had planned to go to the church and chant "Heat's buring in hell" crap while family and friends our inside mourning.

That AT LEAST must be breaking some sort of law. I honestly don't see how "freedom of speech" can possibly cover that heartless, demented form of action.

I seen that before & it make me sick to my stomach. Those nutcakes think it ok to picket over people's funeral. How would they like it one of them has their funeral protest by people who aren't associated with them? Frickin' hypocrite. I'm a Christian & I would never do something like Phelps & his cult sheeps. They're just Christian in name. Someone should show him & his followers what "true" Christians are all about. I wish I could help, but it beyond my power. May be, but these heartless actions should not be tolerated in the least. I'm all for people having the right to speak their mind, but there is also a very fine line between right and wrong, and they've obviously crossed it. They may not have killed people, but they're clearly a pure embodiment of evil. I just want justice, not just for their plans for Heath, but their beliefs as well.

And it wouldn't even make sense, because the backlash over faking an actor's death would kill it's B.O. Again, I'm sorry and I know we're all upset, but you're kidding yourself.

I think the police need to be called. They are disturbing the peace. If a guy can geat tazered at a Jon Kerry convention and be arrested then these ****s should get the book thrown at them.

If anything you can protest them. I think we need a lawer or someone who can help us take legal action.

I would love to spend the whole funeral screaming at them but then that may disrupt Heaths funeral soo. They make me so mad. We do need to figure out what we can do legaly.

As a born again Christian myself....I find this quite upsetting. I was told this was fake before and I'm 100% sure it isn't but if it is then this whole "church" needs Prayer. I love how some people will bend and twist God's word....he in no way hates anyone. God hates sin, period, but he loves the sinner.

I don't get it though, Heath played a gay man in a movie I'll never watch...but that didn't make him gay. Anyway, I despise things like this because now people will lump every other Christian in the world with these crazies.

I wish I could be there for Heath, but with work and finacial problems, I can't make it. I'm ther ein spirit with anyone who joins together to pay tribute.
