Batman: Arkham Asylum

TLH as a very loose loutline, yes. This is what I was basing my case idea off of, don't let us know who the murderer is etc.

Now think of this...

Remember how USM looked like Mark Bagely's art style?

Imagine they did that... with Tim Sale...

Okay kids, settle down, I've got it.

Batman: The Greatest Stories Ever Told

You take The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, The Killing Joke, Year One (tutorial level?), frick, the greatest Bats books and you mash em into one huge love letter to gaming AND comic fans. You take the art style of each book to produce a distinct looks for each story.

That would be... awesome.

I think they should just stick with the look from Arkham Asylum. I really don't think Sale's art would transition into motion all that well.

I dunno, if they did that outlined, cel-shaded look it might work. Something like a mix of Wind Waker and Crackdown.

Finally got some time to beat the game. The only part I didnt like is when you finally get all of the better gadgets (like the horizontal grappel, that things amazing) the game is almost finished. Can't wait for them to put out a sequel. I wonder how the sales were in september.

Can someone provide a source for this?
Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Interactive is developing a "Green Lantern" videogame, and is off and running with plans to produce games based on DC characters that appeal to various age groups and turn into their own franchises. For Batman, that ranges from the cutesy "Lego Batman" to the far edgier "Batman: Arkham Asylum" that's forthcoming.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not seeing where that says Rocksteady is doing a GL game

I had so much fun with this game that I am DYING for a sequel. It had it's minor drawbacks, but overall, this game is worth about every penny. I agree that the final boss was very lackluster and that there wasn't much time left to use the new gadgets, but they were still amazing to use.

As for the design/art style, I mostly loved it and hope it continues for the sequel. I enjoyed the armored Batsuit more than the original, and the gargoyles seemed a bit out of place inside the buildings, but it didn't deter from the experience at all.

I'm pretty sure I plan on buying this game just to run through again and find new and awesome ways to take out enemies. 9.5/10

I really enjoyed this one too
much more of an authentic batman game
you really felt like the caped crusader
however
the whole detective mode thing sort of bugged me
since you spend most of the game in it any way
I'd really liek them to do a sequel
hoepfully one that allows us to explore the city of Gotham
way to go Batman:AA
and thanks for the memories....of my parents being murdered!
oh, now I'm a sad little millionaire orphan

It's very disappointing that they reduced bane to a enraged bull.

The only thing that really bugs me about this is that the bane fight is exactly like every other titan henchman fight. they should have at least made it significantly more challenging.

I think it kinda played well into how the Joker was using him like a thug. If he shows up in the sequel, he could be as smart as we all know him to be.

Probably because of the Titan drug or just lack of sedatives. It'd be easy, and I hope they do it.

Playing last night, I noticed the same thing.
They could've made him like the tactical Bane. Then, later, fill him with the Titan product, since it's part of the story.

This is the fifth time I play the game and actually noticed something I didn't the other times I played it. The first two guards who are with Dr. Young when you start the game, one has a name tag as a trainee and her name is Maria. I never knew there was a female guard there. And then when you see William North again and he's with a dead guard later on, he says "I'll take care of Maria". Thought it was a nice little tidbit. :p

If Bane was the main bad guy in a sequel and wasn't "me big angry ethnic guy!" I certainly wouldn't be complaining.

I hope we have someone like Two-Face or Black Mask as the main villain for next.

Hmmmm... I assumed he meant he would take care of the dead guard's wife, Maria, but then, I never noticed the guard named Maria. Perhaps the dead guard and Maria the guard were married/BF+GF? Ya know, they met at work and fell in love?
That's one thing I like about this game, the little subtle touches that are easy to miss that really add to the lifelike nature of the narrative.

Two-Face should be the main one, Ra's should be second. Black Mask could play a role similar to Scarecrow's in AA.

Yeah that's what I always thought at first, that he meant his wife. But it wasn't until last night that I discovered the "Maria" with Dr. Young and made the possible connection. But yeah most likely they were together or maybe even his sister.

Agree about the touches.

Just goes to show even though I beat the game more than once, I'm still discovering a few more things that never caught my eye.

TLH could be done....in the same way as the Heavy Rain game coming out
