Batman: Arkham Origins - Part 1

Guys, the thugs with the masks from their bosses is straight out of the comics. And as for being over the top...it's Batman, for God's sake. A Batman who is twice the size of a normal man.

Also, the prologue of TDK.

So I just remembered who Roger Craig Smith is. He voiced Ezio and Chris Redfield. Im eager to hear his Batman voice. I think he'll do a good job.

In addition to Wally Wingert as The Riddler (or even playing another character), I'm also hoping that Fred Tatasciore (better known as Baird from GoW) makes a return as one of the thugs. His voice is just great and is often amusing. He has this macho tough-guy voice, but when certain conditions are met when playing the Predator mode, he'll come out with stuff like:

[Sounding as if he's on the verge of tears]: "Stop it! Keep away from me!"
Or, "I'm sorry! I thought you were some kind of joke! Please don't hurt me!"

I believe anybody (fan or otherwise) can edit IMDB... and thats all guess work or flat out rumours. I noticed somebody has claimed the same thing on Conroy's wikipedia entry.

Not to mention on Twitter, Conroy flat out said he wasn't in ARKHAM ORIGINS.

Roger Craig Smith (Batman) and Troy Baker (The Joker) are the only confirmed actors at the moment.

Well, Conroy did voice Hush in Arkham City so I reckon he might voice another character like Thomas Wayne and he did voice him in AA as well.

Well... he said he wasn't in the game, so we'll just have to wait and see.

we'll as I said It'd be cool if he was the announcer/ narrator speaking on origins as past events. like havin his voice be our introduction at some point and and when he's doing his detective /forensic work, and at the end of each of the games installment. That would be cool.

Yeah, I think people are forgeting that Batman is man dress like a BAT!

What are the chances of seeing anything to do with ManBat? He is one of my favorite Batman villains. I know there is a theory that the bloody rat and cups are a ManBat Easter egg in Arkham City, apparently people claimed to actually see him flying around in AC but Rocksteady shot that rumor down.

I doubt it but you never know. He might be in Arkham 4.

I'd sure like Langstrom/Man-Bat in the games!

bloody rat & cups? where in the game is this at?

and i would love to see Man-Bat in an Arkham game

@Green=W=Day

The "sightings" were misidentification of the numerous birds that populate the game.

Speaking of concealed information, I tweeted the Arkham Twitter about the final Easter Egg, and (not surprisingly) did not receive a response. This is getting a bit old: the new title is months from launch, and the final treasure in the game has not been revealed, yet...

Basically the church tower that gets blow up early in the game, if you go up the tower there is a dead bloody rat laying in a straw like bed, and in the corner there is two cups. Like the person doing the video says at the end, who knows.

I personally want to say it is a Man-Bat Easter egg but if it is one it really isn't a very obvious one like Scarecrow for example.

I think it's very possible that he'll be in the sequel to AC, assuming that they won't repeat villains.

The Rogues' Gallery for the Arkham Sequel:

Fully Certain:
a) Hush
b) Scarecrow
c) Poison Ivy

Nearly Certain:

a) Mad Hatter
b) Deadshot
c) Freeze
d) Riddler

Possible:

a) Penguin
b) Freeze
c) Black Mask
d) Zsasz
e) Bane

Unknown:

-Abromovich Twins
-Titan Thugs
-Joker

Highly Unlikely:

-Strange
-Tyger

My Wish: The Black Glove w/ Doctor Hurt

Ugh, I hope Poison Ivy isn't in it.
If I have to fight one more goddamn plant...

I hope the thugs with car doors do not return. One of the largest irritants with AC was when my multiplier would be reaching crazy numbers (for me) and then one of the ******* would hit me and cause me to lose all of my progress.

Yeah i always picture a more comedic scenario where someone there blurts out "who brings a car-door to a fight!?". haha

You have to get better at AC then. That's what those thugs are for, to make it hardder for you to do normal attacks. I have no problem with them.

I'll be honest: I'm terrible at video games. In comparison to seasoned gamers, my criticism for the mechanics of the game is not as viable. It's my opinion...if they're listening, I hope it's for my suggestions for the narrative (which I am highly qualified to comment on,) and not the actual mechanics.

I never understood fans that look at a game or movie and not go buy the game or view the movie at the theater, with out playing the game or watching the movie. Are you fans or what. Some just get way too upset about little details/things. Almost like when a kid asks their mum to buy a toy/figurine (say a Batman toy with weapons) that they wanted but the mother buys the same version but without the weapons and the kid is ungrateful and does'nt want to play with it.

Yea, we need more enemies like those, not less. I can cruise through every fight, on the hardest difficulty, without an issue. Altho, i am the goddamn Batman, so taking down thugs should be no problem.

Im hoping the enemies that can counter your attacks for this game will be really fun to go up against.

I know it's hard for some players but once you get the hang of things it's great. To me, it doesn't matter how hard the bad guys are at the start because the more I play the game I WILL get better.
