Batman: Arkham Origins - Part 1

I hope the thugs with car doors do not return. One of the largest irritants with AC was when my multiplier would be reaching crazy numbers (for me) and then one of the ******* would hit me and cause me to lose all of my progress.

Just stun them then punch them to the ground.

Or use Batman's weapon breaking takedown. Or just jump over them. Or just stun them and come back to them later. Lots of ways to get to them, I find the taser guys to be my big pain in the ass.

I know it's hard for some players but once you get the hang of things it's great. To me, it doesn't matter how hard the bad guys are at the start because the more I play the game I WILL get better.

Thats why this fight system is.my all time favorite. Very easy to learn, can be pretty hard to master and button mashing is a no no

I hope the side-scrolling sections from the Black Mask DLC make a return in a bigger, more expansive way. Uppercutting and karate-kicking thugs as the Gotham skyline whizzes past is too good to pass up.

The Rogues' Gallery for the Arkham Sequel:

Fully Certain:

Poison Ivy

Why the certainty? I didn't pay much attention to her in AC.

Game being played in the background during Eric Holmes interview: http://www.reviewsontherun.com/all/spotlight/eric-holmes-on-batman-arkham-origins/
yeah they also showed Victor interviewing for EPD.tv too tonight as well

Previews

Eric Holmes on Batman: Arkham Origins

Victor catches up with The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction designer Eric Holmes to find out how he's taking on Batman in Arkham Origins.
which is interesting since Vic is a batman fiend and seeing that ROTR never used to show case stuff like interviews on that half of what he does for video games which just strictly reviews and a cameo from the Dev's and voice actors etc. should tell you how much of one he is .

Any news on an in-game trailer? I thought the AC one was great.

Which do you like the cover art of more? I like the Blackgate art more.

Yea id go with the Blackgate, but the console box art looks pretty damn cool too. Simple

When was the Blackgate art released? I can't find it anywhere besides your post D:

Hehe. I just noticed a breaking news story on Google News about the box art. But it had a watermark on the image! Meh. So I just grabbed the box art from Amazon.com since they just must have put it up around the same exact time.

Weird, it's not in any of the press releases.

I like both but leaning toward the Blackgate cover a little more.

I like the PS3 one more, I feel it grabs your attention better.

I prefer the Blackgate one, no doubt. I'd rather have that as the cover.

I'm always a fan of minimalistic covers. So I like the simple PS3 cover, with the logo and his face.

The Origins cover is my favorite. The cowl is so iconic, and blending the the guys that are going to be gunning for Bats in the shadows of his cowl is effective. It's clean, simple, and clearly shows 'hey guys, it's the mother****ing Batman'.

Also, I really like the way they went with the cowl in this one. It looks very much like TDK/TDKR approach to Batman's cowl.

*Paying closer attention to the PS3 cover after reading ChrisBaleBatman comment*
Good point, I might like it more now
