Except for situations that call for something else, Baker needs to be the new official voice of the Joker.
Léo Ho Tep said:which is also some great writing imo. I loved this take on Bane. He was downright scary in this one, instead of a dumb joke.
Chris Redfield as Batman was pretty damn good too. I like that his batvoice was more or less a medium between Conroy and Bale's take.
It was rather sad to see him hulk himself up in the end. Dini!
The one thing I didn't think quite worked for Bane here was the voice. Luigi Vampa as Bane is decent, but just thinking of Henry Silva reprising the role in this menacing portrayal of the character makes me giddy.
Bought the game over the weekend...got a great deal on the PC version. Really enjoying it. Is it better than Arkham City? Hmm...about the same or at least close to it. But it did feel sometimes that I couldn't use my bat grapple in as many places as I could in City...maybe I am just remembering City wrong, but I thought I could use it on a lot more buildings.
Also...there's a major bug in the PC version I hope they fix. You actually can't complete one of the comm tower missions.
Why does everyone point the finger at Dini to complain about Bane?
Bane was handled reasonably well during the DCAU (In fact I was quite happy with it). More to the point, Bane was incredibly powerful, smart and downright chilling in the TNBA episode 'Over the Edge'... Paul Dini's only real writing credit with Bane in the DCAU.
Dini also handled him reasonably well in the comics from what I can remember. Not once have I heard him say he dislikes the character.
So don't you think it's possible that Bane was created as a 'Boss only' for the Rocksteady games and Dini was instructed what to do with the character?
Let's face it, Rocksteady were slowly pushing Dini out during the development of Arkham City anyway.

Yeah, he really seems to have found a middle ground between the two. It seems to become more of a growl, like Bale, when he gets angry too. I guess it fits too, with how much this game's visual style seems to be inspired by TDK trilogy. And there's a coldness, a sort of matter-of-fact tone to his voice that seems appropriate to the character. The way he talks us through a crime scene and makes it seem academic just seems to fit for me.

The game is in need of considerable revisions: the freezing, frame stuttering, grapnel problems, among others. My favorite was when I was fighting a sniper in the Diamond District and I literally punched him off the rooftop. I am not joking. His body fell off the roof and disappeared.
I punched people off of buildings a lot in City, haven't in Origins yet. I like doing it, cause I'm Golden Age Batman.![]()
Has anyone managed to get the grapnel takedown yet, where you have to use the grapnel on a ledge and then boost up to take down the enemy above? I've tried it, like, fifteen times and it literally never works.
