Batman: Arkham Origins

His pre-venom height and weight they used there really makes me think they based their take on bane more so on Batman and robin than the comics. Pre-venom bane wasn't a little scrawny guy he was actually a very strong guy who built his body up in prison, it's just that venom took him to another level.

One of the more ridiculous things about bane in the arkham games was his character trailer, where he was listed at "6'8" 350 lbs", when in the game he was more like 8' 1000 lbs.

I wasn't a fan of making croc into a godzilla like creature either.

Bane can iffy, because that seems to be left up to whoever is drawing him/animating him. But Croc, that's a DC thing, to be honest. Ever since his redesign during 'HUSH', that seems to be the design seen most. Which was fine in 'Hush', but that version seems to be the version of Croc that DC prefers.

I really liked Croc's previous design, too. Like in BTAS.

the fact that he's that skinny when drained of venom doesn't really mean their saying that might be his original form (then again as I've said before) but it could also be what their saying is there since venom is a drug and an all, It's messed up his system for ever since being on it. You know some certain drugs shouldn't be abused or used at all. and he's used it way too often. him being skinny after being drained of it often is most likely the side effects of being on it since and overexposeer. .

It brings B&R's 'Bane' to mind though.

lol the movies have nothing to do with this right now other wise. I'd still be harping on the mike Myers British sound of the current Bane that needs a mini me the movies have given us and that will just say he's cursed, cause every movie interpretation does something some of us can't get past. and I don't want to do that ( I know better). for now leave those out of it. it's just messing things up for him .

Hmm i actually like the bane mask in arkham better and that's probably the only redeemable feature of it.

The representation of Bane in these games is almost as bad as the Batman & Robin version. Give him his costume from the comics and reduce his size.

Yea it deff does. Im assuming he was like that because of all the experiments Dr Young was performing on him. At least id hope so. I mean the character description lists Bane pre and post Venom doesnt it and it doesnt say he was that small right?

Hahaha no. Just no. The first game he is a victim of Jokers and Batman just happens to be in the way. Second game they showed off his intellect but unfortunately his ending sucked

Showed off his intellect? Nah, I don't even like Bane, but even I can see the disinterest (contempt?) the writer has for him. He didn't fare much better when Timm wrote him in TAS either, as I recall.

I suspect this crew will treat Bane with much more cunning and respect.

Grundy, Bane and Croc are far less exaggerated in Injustice. I wish the Arkham Models looked more like that. Though I'm still not liking Bane too much.

Now I'd like to play as the Flash in one of those Arkham games, just like I did in Lego Batman 2

Bane in AC has some intellect compared to AA But no way did he have proper intellect in AC..At least not anywhere how he should have

Agreed. His plan was nothing out of ordinary.

I also want Bane portrayed as a strategic and intelligent combatant. Doing more than just grab, throw or bull rush people. He needs to be a threat to Batman even if he doesn't use Venom.

It'd be interesting IF WB Montreal handles some characters like Bane much better than Rocksteady did in AA or even AC

From reading about GameInformer's play through a demo it seems WB Montreal already got Batman much better as a detective than in the other two games!

It's a shame what they did to Bane in the new 52 comics. He's now that over the top freak from the old comic cover.

Danny Trejo's accent was a bit too thick for me. I prefer Henry Silva. I like the contrast between brutish appearance and almost gentleman like personality. I just like his voice, mannerism and the way he expresses himself.

Henry Silva sounds like a intelligent respectful latin american man. This is what I imagin Bane to sound like whenever I read the comics.

I love Trejo voicing Bane cause I really like Bane and I'm a huge Trejo..But I agree about Silva,I also imagine his Bane voice when reading comics

I rewatched the TAS episode "Bane" today, and I have to say, the characterization is on the same level as B&R. The writers' successfully condensed Knightfall into a 19 minute episode, but, the dialogue and voice-acting made Bane sound like he belonged in the Adam West program.

I don't understand anything you said. In what manner does BTAS Bane reflects B&R Bane? Why should he belong to the Adam West program?

Oh you silly people and you not loving B&R's Bane... :o

You have to be kidding? That was the voice Bane ever had and any cartoon, video game, movie

Bane might be huge in those comic panels...but he sure sounds like he knows a little bit of chemistry...
