Batman: Arkham Origins

So desperately hoping for Dick Grayson Robin and Barbara Gordon Batgirl as playable characters.

I mean, this is not too far-fetched, right?

wow I didnt even think of Barbara. Even if she isnt playable, I hope she makes an appearance as Batgirl here

Wouldn't it be way too early? Batman isn't entirely a rookie, but he still makes some mistakes. He doesn't even have his essential gear like the grabbler. This is the game where he'll get it. So I really doubt Batgirl will have an appearance.

Batgirl/ Barbra's inspiration for becoming who she is was meeting Dick as Robin in the comic's and then she started her path. But seeing that Bane is showing up early and when you think about it Death stroke is too it's make sense that both Batgirl and Robin would be around seeing that those two villains weren't around til Robin started college and was on his way to becoming Night wing and met huntress durin that time . If people want him out of the way for a bit just say both him(Dick) and Babs are students in college at a university Christmas party. Other wise Bane and Death stroke are a bit off time period wise.

It really doesn't matter what happened in the comics. Azrael took Batman's place when Bane broke him. Yet in Arkham City, Batman encounters Azrael for the first time. So they could introduce Bane, without Robin and Batgirl existing at the time.

yeah but every one's talking as if batman didn't meet dick at this time for this part of the games history. But unlike what happened in in Arkham city, we know that Babs and Dick exsisted in the universe. So mentioning Azrael doesn't matter cause all that stuff made sense why he was around cause those two were already around too.dis psite that messed up part about it bein your first encounter. Let's just say those two are busy that night like when Dick was in AA. It should be fine.

A Batman release, from one of the biggest game franchises this season of systems witnessed, and discussed in a superhero forum
Enough to break most of the surprise here imo, still a bit surprising

What I like about the Arkham franchise is that it is vanishing point for three lines of loose continuity: the comics, the Animated series, and its own universe. As a result, they do not have to bend the story to the rules of certain arcs (Knightfall) but can include them, albeit modified, in their own mythology.

well I'm just gonna wait til they release more detail's and for eventual game play I like to see Dick as robin and for Bat girl to show up may be co-op in certain sections but that's on this studio to do or not . ether way should be interesting with what they doing now.

The two things that caught my eye straight away are the awesome graphics on the Batman vs Deathstroke screens, and the fact the story is set on Christmas Eve and takes place over the course of the singular night.

Batman has big fanbase and hes just badass hero as well having great villains.

I agree. I never read comics that featured Deathstroke or in any media it will be interesting how he will be portrayed in the game.

Yeah, it'd be nice if they could get the co-op at least for challenges. That'd be superboss. Playable Robin and Batgirl too.

I think a Matches Malone section or that guy with a scar might be a real fun way to infiltrate the people trying to kill Batman. That would be a fun level. The key to keeping it awesome and unobstructive and fun for all is working it in the storyline.

On the other hand, I think Bruce Wayne is rather bereft of gameplay. To me, it was pretty absurd in Arkham City that Bruce Wayne ransacked ten guys, broke his cuffs and his identity is still preserved. That's silly. Too much of that and it breaks the story, imho. Similarly, what aspect of Batman's gameplay actually takes place at the parties Bruce Wayne is seen at? Perhaps detective mode? But Batman gameplay doesn't include talking, so you're walking around a bunch of human props supposed to blend in with a bunch of buttons that do nothing but make you stand out. That doesn't sound like the path to fun, unless you just enjoy that kind of roleplaying action.

I would love to see something like that played out in the game in some form. Sort of like Batgirl Begins. It would make a nice side story to see Barbara involved at some point and be inspired to become Batgirl because of Batman and Robin.

Barbara is already The Oracle in B:AC, so that's part of the reason why I think that, if she is to appear as Batgirl, B:AO is the place to do it.

Or in one of the sequels to Origins. I think you could easily fit 10-15 years of story between Origins and Arkham Asylum. Origins gives us the Batman that is still fresh and still has to learn things. A sequel to Origins could be the start of the Bat Family.

Should or do any of you want any of the DLC skins from AC be kept in?,I think a few of the suits that makes sense to be in such as the 1970's&Year-One suits should be kept in,I'd make them very easy unlockables by simply going into a Batsuit&gadets chamber and find them on display.

I want movie Bat skins so bad But as for new comic suits/skins..I hope the New 52 suit is DLC!

No reason why all suits couldn't be back. I want all AC skins and some new ones.

Prequel Sequel? Weird. But doable. I wouldn't count on it though, it really seems like they're pinch hitting for a long development cycle for Arkham Worl- er, 3.
