Batman: Arkham Origins

You mean the extra difficult mode? Lose once and you restart the story?

No, I was referring to zapping a goon with an electrified remote control Batarang as you suggested. Unfortunately, the words I placed in that post didn't fully convey that. Stupid words.

I've dominated I Am the Night mode. :o

I tried it once, didn't make it past the boiler room arena on the Final Offer. :(

This is my favorite Arkham game so far. I'm a sucker for good stories in games and I think Origins has the best story of all released Arkham games, even though some things didn't make sense ("Joker: Batman I love you. OK, thugs, kill the Bat!"), it was way better than Asylum and City in that department.

I downloaded Arkham Orgins mobile game I had fiddle with it. First all I prefer console based games I like to press a button instead of a tab. You find pieces various of the Batsuits just like in AOB on PS Vita. I'm not a mobile-gamer person so I wouldn't play this game again, they have captured the feel of scenery and the graphics are amazing for a mobile game I liked the gameplay though. 3/5

What did you guys and gals think about it?

So I said something about this in the batman arkham knight thread and no one responded so I figured I would ask it in hear even though this thread is not that active any more.

After you beat the story mode is there any way to go back and beat some of the challenges you didn't beat? I never beat the challenge where you have to do 4 different take downs in predator like wall take down vent take down thing ect. I already beat challenge mode I never beat the I am the night mode so is that they only way I could beat some of those another challenges? or am I stuck? Or what? Like also the 50 combo type thing. Those type of challenges.

You can complete them in New Game + but that's it. You get 2 chances to complete, and even on NG+ you might not make it, as there are limited predator rooms where you can complete the challenges. This was a big issue for me back when the game first came out, I missed practically all of them, and had to start a brand new profile.

So you cant do it on I am the night mode at all? So my file that I have been playing on for over a year now and that I am at 90% on and that I have spent over 100 hours on is now useless if I want to get 100%? So I am going to have to start all over and beat the game on either normal or hard and then NG+ and all of the side mission I have to beat again and all of the challenge rooms and ridler data packs again? Wow really. I really want to get 100% on this game has I got 100% on both AA and AC but for over 100 hours to now find out it has been a waste forget that I don't have 24/7 to play video games and I have another games I like to play to that just sucks! Plus know the bad news about Zelda wii u today I just want to cry can someone hold me?

It was a flawed system. They definitely should have made them doable in the challenge maps, could have said a lot of time. Your situation is the same as mine was, eventually I had to start anew. Doing them on IATNM won't help because that is a brand new flesh slate game mode, you start off as you do when playing new. No upgrades or gadgets, and if you die, straight back to the beginning.

Man I fell sick now. If I would have know this I would have tried to do the challenges before I got to being like 90% complete. Like what completion % where you? While I new that on IATNM that you die you go back to the beginning but I thought that like NG+ you started with all your upgrades and such. Man that is really messed up even if you cant do stuff in challenge maps they should have made it where you could go back to rooms in the story mode and that guys would regenerate. I think it did that in AC. Plus I don't even now if I can get all the challengs done because some are hard. On the predetro challengs I only got to like level 5 witch is where you have to do 4 different take downs in a row and on the another one I got to the final level where you have to have a 15 vereaction. The 15 vereaction is hard for a few reason. 1. I tend to lose trace of what moves I have already used so to remember to do all of them I hard and 2. You cant get it. 3 have to have a 50 plus combo.

They actually aren't all that difficult, if I can do them you can too, guides on youtube will help as well. But it seems like you gotta think on this. It took me a long time to restart. I didn't do it till just this past January, and by the time in was done I was EXHAUSTED. Best of luck man, I hope you can figure it out.

While the thing is to I really wanted to 100% before knight comes out and that is only like 3 months away and I still have a back lot of like a 100 games lol. While ok maybe not 100 but still a lot and being 26 working I already don't get to play video games even close to has much has I would like to. How far where you when you started over? I am just wondering how much did you have to do again?

When I restarted, I had done everything in the game except IATNM, challenge map medals, and the dark knight challenges. So my profile was like at 75%. But I did all missions, relays, data packs, anarchy signs, Sirus Pinkny journals. Wasn't all that thrilled when I decided to do it all over again. Took me a month.

Yeah I am not that thrilled right now and I didn't even know about the sirus pinky thing in till like 3 days ago and I have had this game sinces it came out and have put over 100 hours into it. While 75% is not has bad has my 90% lol. Man this sucks.

What really made me go back was the sonic shock batarang. It's locked to a Worst Nightmare challenge, no other way to get it. And you do need it to get the all upgrades trophy and complete several challenge maps.

Yeah I noticed that a few challenge rooms you cant get all 3 tokens with out having a upgrade like that.

They should done like AC you can get all the stuff after you finished the story mode. I was at 90% but I like you guys I couldn't get the upgrade to shock batarang. I hope WBM will scrap this in the next game.

I have to say, WB Montreal gave us the better DLC in Cold, Cold Heart. I didn't really think much of Harley Quinn's Revenge. Sure, Cold, Cold Heart pretty much copies the BTAS storyline - but it's nonetheless a good one. And we finally got to play inside Wayne Manor, and see the batcave again. Plus they gave us the new ice suit. I think they did a good job with it all, and hope they get another shot at the franchise.

Yup, despite all the "deserved" criticism on Origins...it was a great game imo.
Imagine what they could do with the Groundwork of Arkham knight.
WBM had good ideas, it would be a shame to see the arkham series go after such a short time.

One of the bigger flaws is the whole upgrade and challenge thing.
Some of the challenge can only be done while going through the story in a specific situation...its very annoying.
Also the fact that one of the last upgrades is the Disarm and destory...is crap.
I could understand it in city, but in origins you have a angrier batman...he should rip weapons in half at the start of the game.

DLC wise, WBM really done a great job...cold cold heart is fantastic.

The game is so underrated. It's a shame it will always be over shadowed by some bugs&glitches and the fact that Rocksteady didn't develop it. I know people who haven't played it nor ever will because of that fact and some people make it seem like it's a broken game but I only experianced very little-mild bugs but not anywhere near unplayable game.

-The graphics were a bit better than AC
-The gameplay is pretty much the same as AA/AC but better that than removing things and end up making it worse
-The forensics feature was awesome and very much batman, plus the new gadgets were cool
-Bigger map than AC
-MP wasn't great but at least it was a new and interesting idea for the series
-Characterization and story is the best one so far
-Voice actors did a fantastic job
-The suit was awesome
-Being able to go to the actual batcave was great
-Awesome intereraction with Alfred
-Great dlc story

Hear hear

I look on AO with more fondness having replayed the story like 5 times since November, I have 2 younger cousins who LOVE playing it. Really the only thing I dislike now is just the "twist". Otherwise, I've warmed up to it a lot.

Yeah it is! I had like no problems with the game. The biggest problem is that the game is to much like AC but AC is one of the best games ever made to me! All 3 of the games are great and AC is my favorite but origins is a very very close second and a lot better then asylum. You also forgot how the music was different and how it had that kind of dark Christmas sound to it as the game took place on Christmas.
