Oh too hard to choose. The both of them are perfect for the characters, but so different from each other. I can't choose.

I'm on the same boat as you. These two are my favorite superhero movies ever ... i'm torn!

I would have to say Iron Man. Batman Begins did a good job, but it did have some follies, mainly a certain unnecessary character who was invented just for the movie. Still, Batman Begin's sequel wipes the flood with Iron Man II.

While the Batman franchise had been ruined, they had already made at least one "good" Batman movie. With Iron Man they got it right, right off the bat (not trying to make a bad pun).

Batman Begins didn't have Terrence Howard's bland Rhodey character. Easily the most forgettable and unnecessary character out of either film.

Ras al Ghul is far more interesting, menacing and complex than Stane.

Both in my top 5 comic book movies. But I give the edge to Iron Man. I prefer RDJs Tony Stark to Bale's Bruce Wayne. The chemistry between RDJ and Paltrow is the best in a comic book movie ever. And I thought Iron Man's final act whilst not brilliant, was better than Begins'.

Anything compared to B&R s The Godfather. But this thread compares BB to Iron Man, and for their respective movies' tones, Iron Man did very well but BB didn't fulfill its own proposal.

Begins was not the average movie but it wasn't entirely unique. It was sadly caught in between average and something else, but in the enbd it didn't fully deliver.

They're uniform, samey, not ground breaking. Begins had a vision to it, you may disagree with that vision, but Nolan and co. set out to do something unique. Iron Man was just a run of the mill superhero movie with prettier effects than the ones before it.

I agree about Marvel movies: they seem like cookie-cut.

Nevertheless, in the fun movies room, Iron Man rules, but in the serious new proposal Batman Begins has a mixed result.

You could say that, for me, Begins' flaws are more noticeable because it tried to reach a higher peak.

On first impression I enjoyed Batman Begins mor.
However Iron man is far more watchable in repeated viewing. So, Iron Man, I guess.

Batman Begins had a more intriguing and in-depth look at Bruce Wayne's psyche and far richer character development. IRon Man was far more rushed in that regard.

Also, having a more memorable and interesting villain in Ras al Ghul as opposed to generic "Greedy businessman" helps, as well as NOT having the dull-as-dishwater Rhodey character.

Robert Downey Jr. is charizmatic, self aware and having a good time. When it does have it's serious moments, they come across better because he is a superior actor. Bales monotone voice and grumpy cookie monster only gets him so far.

I disagree, Bale's performance was superior because you could feel the anguish and determination in his pursuit to do more for the city.

Bale has no reason to be self aware and have a good time; his parents were shot in front of him as a child. He is a tragically dark character and conveys this perfectly. He takes the role very seriously because the movie takes itself very seriously. His portrayl of Wayne is perfect, far better than any live action incarnation. Downey was simply being Downey.

Also, Bale is superior to Downey in the area of acting, he simply has more range and immerses himself more into roles. He's really just a younger, equally talented version of Daniel Day-Lewis.

Bale as Bruce is good. But the Bat Voice kills his Batman. But it looks like in TDKR Bane may take over the annoying voice guy
