Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 4

After watching American Animals, confusing him with Toby Kebbell only to later discover he wasn't but still being very pleased with his extremely good performance in that movie I've come up with another choice for the role: Blake Jenner. I'm cautious with this choice though as he hasn't really been in much but he seems like a promising enough young actor with the right jawline and build for the role

FWIW Mario Robles added further details on his "third name" he's hearing about regarding casting. Says he stands out because he is older than what Reeves was supposedly looking for and says the actor is in his late 30s. So that rules out Jon Hamm & Armie Hammer.

He also said that Reeves was technically "late" handing in the script, and theorizes that maybe they made some last minute changes to allow room for an older actor, or this actor in particular to fit the bill.

I'm thinking it's either Ryan Gosling or John Krasinski.
This is getting ridiculous now. Out with it already, Robles!

Realistic choice: Armie Hammer
Wildcard choice: Oscar Isaac
Dream choice: Ryan Gosling
Older choice: Jon Hamm

I’d be happy with any of these

Here's the thing. It was my understanding that Jack Huston was taken off the board because of his age. So if Reeves is still looking at older actors, does this not put Huston back in contention?

No Ryan Gosling. I would much rather have Armie Hammer. Ryan Gosling just doesn’t come across as Batman. He seems more like Flash or Green Lantern

It was left implied Reeves prefers Huston for Two Face.

Out of these four the most interesting name is Oscar Isaac. He gives me kind of Michael Keaton vibe. For continuity sake I would like Armie Hammer as he could convincingly be a younger Ben Affleck Batman.

Jon Hamm is someone I would love to play the character (My first choice post-MoS), but I would rather go for someone younger for longevity purposes. However if he was down for the next 10 years, I wouldn't say no to that at all.

Ryan Gosling is kind of a wild-card for me. Some days I think he could do a good job and others not so much. I feel like the fit isn't quite right.

Here's my list.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson
Armie Hammer
Finn Wittrock
Jack Huston
Jack O'Connell
Joe Dempsie
Jonathan Groff
*Jon Hamm (only if he is able and willing to commit to a multi-film deal)
Lee Pace
Oscar Isaac
Richard Madden
Robert Pattinson
Ryan Gosling
Tom Cullen

It'd be a shame if Reeves prefers Huston for Dent. If actors in their mid-late thirties are back in play, he'd be my number one pick for the role. Plus Huston has already played a character with half his face ****ed up, so I feel like that would almost come across as gimmick casting.

Imagine a combo of Jack Huston as Bats and Oscar Isaac as Dent.

It would be perfect in a midget Batman universe.

Those are the only names I've seen mentioned that I could stomach. Hamm is too old, but if he were announced, I wouldn't complain, because I'm not too worried about a franchise at this point - I just want to see Reeves' Batman film and I'm set. I could see Huston as Harvey but not Bruce.

Your disturbing hang-up on men with below-average height aside, Huston is 6'0".

Ehh, he's not wrong generally speaking. 6'0"s fine though, that's about what Bale was right? Wouldn't want much smaller than that though, unless there's something else major going for them like Keaton.

A mystery actor in his late thirties?

Could it be Oscar Isaac?

Then Noah Centino could make sense in being a younger version of Oscar Isaac/Bruce Wayne?

I haven't seen Centineo in anything, but just by looking at the guy... I don't hate it.

You are obsessed with Huston.
