Despite what some on here think we don't know anything. We don't know if they are going for an older Batman nor do we know that Josh Brolin has the role. All of this is pure speculation based on rumors from a website. I enjoy speculation but I'm not going to be delusional enough to pretend that anything has been confirmed when it hasn't.

I hate the way some people on Hype treat everything as fact. It gets on my nerves so much.

After having seen the whole "Lois had as a prop in MOS a wedding ring, this will be worse than SR" discussion on the internet, I am convinced more caution is needed. I am still not at all sure how that happened, unless they filmed some of MOS2 with MOS, SMII style.

Good ol' Jett.

You know what, Jett deserves credit here. He ran with his scoop two days before the trades, and a lot of people here immediately were trying to shoot it down.

Credit where its due.

Yeah, that's true. I remember an interview with Armie Hammer where he said he was interested in playing Superman but they wanted to go with someone older. Of course, that might just have been WB's way of telling him, "You suck, kid. Go home."

Well, Cavill is 3 years older than Hammer, so wanting someone older than Hammer should not be seen to mean too much.

I think they should cast an African-American actor as Batman.

And yeah, I agree with whoever said Brolin = constipated face.

Okay I'll say it: I don't want Josh Brolin as Batman. I'm not sure who I want as Bruce, but I know I don't want him.

Not that the evidence is clear i hope Warner bros will hide the name of the aging actor until or after new york comic-con.

Batman's in a mask. Some trick photography would be all it would take for Cavill to disguise himself, especially if he gets the voice down :lmao:

Well, Amy Adams wanted Bizarro because it would mean two Henry's, maybe she can get her wish in another way.

The more I watch of him the less I want of him as Batman.

Seriously. Yeah, the dude is "handsome" in the still pics. He's got dark hair and he's older.

But he is by no means Batman. And I think he'd be pretty "meh".

flickchick brought it up before and I agreed with her. It irks me that someone of Brolin's "character" could be playing Batman. I understand one's personal life needs to be separated from their work and heck look at RDJ's past. But spousal abuse? That's a complete low. :down

In a perfect world (of my own design of course), Michael Fassbender would be available. :(

Only old actor I want is John Hamm and for younger one Ryan Gosling/Fassbender. Everyone else just isn't good enough!

For those of you doubting Brolin...I was right there with you a couple of days ago.

He grew on me insanely fast. He has that Keaton effect where on one hand it seems completely off, but on the other it just feels so right. I can't explain it, but I feel he could be our guy.

If he wants the part.

If it came down to it, I'd rather keep Lane for Ma Kent than risk it by casting Brolin.

Guess I was totally wrong on the 'younger Batman' thing. Of the names put out there by Jett and BoF, I like Duhamel, Law, Butler, and Pitt.

Of the names in the THR list, I like Gosling.

Jett was trolling with Duhamel and Pitt FYI.

Not liking the idea of a forty year old Batman. The man can be grizzled and experienced in his thirties, and the age gap between him and Superman would be so huge you run the risk of taking a huge element away from their relationship. Stories of an older Batman would surely be a very interesting twist, but not now, when he's about to go up against Superman. Not really feeling that idea at all.

Agreed. No reason why a Batman in his 30's can't be experienced. Doesn't need to be in his 40's.

I would have preferred a Bats in his mid-to-late thirties, to be completely honest.
