BvS Batman V Superman Box Office Prediction - Part 1

I'm not worried for the box-office. Seeing what Jurassik World is accomplishing, I can't see how BvS can fail. It's not the same type of movie, but both franchise are really popular, and audience will be here whatever the month of release.

I'm really not sure why the previous circular conversation was even relevant to the overall discussion. GA awareness 8 1/2 months out for a movie of this nature is irrelevant. Especially in regards to predicting the box office. I think we all agree that the hype for this movie will be palpable by the time we round the corner into next year so what use is it arguing how aware one person's group of friends are of it right now versus another's?

True. I just jump in the wagon. Like I said, the hype will come in time. The only prediction we can make for sure is that the box office for this film will be huge.

Well said. The Hype for BvS is going to be huge approaching release, and that's what's going to count in the end.

Half the marketing game is 'awareness', and given all the twitter meltdowns stuff surrounding this film causes, the idea that it won't open(open) huge is kind of fun imo.

I have to agree with most. One thing is for sure, short of a disaster, social collapse, etc etc, BvS will open HUGE, only a fool would think otherwise.
Now, how much it makes total overall is a different matter. It has to be good to keep its legs.
750/800 mill on the low side if its only fair.
a billion if its good,
way over a billion ( like 1.3/5 ) if its great.

we don't know enough yet to really make a guess, BUT we soon will.

MOS was a reboot of a dead franchise. It made good money despite it's terrible release date

I truly think this is going to be the biggest superhero movie of 2016. Marvel numbers are a given, it's just a case of this being a TWS, IM3, or A1 sized hit.

In no reality will it make 200 million domestic it's whole run. The opening weekend alone will cover most if not more than that. As for the overseas numbers, those have grown exponentially, with many movies making their budget back thanks in part to the OS locations, and will be the one blockbuster available for the weeks. You're numbers have it grossing less than MOS.

Outgrossing MOS is a guarantee. 900 is the absolute worst this film can pull. Nothing less.
