JUSTICE LEAGUE

Who's The Flash here?

Did another teaser. Wanted to give a little nod to the "I Believe in Harvey Dent" campaign we saw in TDK.
If Lex is helping rebuild Metropolis, he's most likely gonna take advantage of the fact that everybody is starting to trust him and run for President.

And the original campaign poster, for anyone that's interested:

Good job man hope Lex does run for president in third movie.

This is a really random question but would people be willing to pay for someone to produce good quality fan art?

ehh, i wouldn't be willing. but if i were to pay someone for something like that, I'd pay you to make a Justice League poster

Personally, no, but I don't doubt a lot of fans would be.

Aren't commissions essentially someone paying for fan art?

A commission is someone paying an artist to create a piece specifically for them.

And isn't that pretty much fan art? Someone goes to an artist and says something like "I want this certain pic of this certain superhero. How much?"

I wasn't specifically talking about a commission. I just wanted to run the notion by fans of superhero and comics first to see what the vibe towards the idea of it is.

Well, it sounds like simple commission to me. I'm not sure how else you could describe it.

Unless you're talking about something like asking for funding that some do in order to get their fan films made.

Hey guys just want to share what I recently did, enjoy!

I think what KillerMcQueen was saying is that commissioned art isn't exclusively "fan art", but a client can indeed commission a specific artist to do a piece of fan art. With that said, a city can commission an artist to make a sculpture for the city park, or paint a mural on a local government building, etc. I wouldn't call that "fan art" at all really.

I hear you. Sure the artist themselves may not be a fan or care much for the character(s). But, this conversation was pretty much in regards to fan art, specifically Supes, Bats, and possible Wondy.

I gotcha, but I was just trying to clarify that your original comment of "Aren't commissions essentially someone paying for fan art?" wasn't entirely correct. That's what KillerMcQueen was trying to do as well.
