Yep. Mummy is Aug 1st. Dark Knight's second week will consist of The X-Files: I want to Believe and Step Brothers.

Why are you counting the first Friday as the first week?

Mummy comes out exactly 2 weeks after TDK, so I'd say that would be in the second week of TDK.

Dude Space Chimps is serious competition for TDK. I feel kinda sorry for TDK now seeing the sort of movies opening around it. By the time TDK comes out Hancock will only be 2 weeks in release, Hellboy2 would be 1 in release and weekend of TDK there is Space Chimps which looks like a family friendly movie as opposed to TDK which can kill at the Box Office. The next weekend is Step Brothers with mega star Will Farrell which will destroy any chances of any movie taking top spot that weekend. After that is MUMMY 3 which looks like its going to really blow away anything in its part. YIKES! TDK has it really tough.

Well it's the first weekend. the Big dog. The one we all talk about, so seeing how mummy comes out exactly two weeks later, on TDK's third weekend, I look at it the same as it being the third week. Flawed thinking, yep, but it makes me comfortable of what dark Knight (and every movie I look forward to) can do.

I just got off the phone with a friend of mine in LA who's saying that there's 127% awareness for this film, and that 92% of male moviegoers, 93% of female moviegoers, and a whopping 99% of primate moviegoers will see this opening weekend!

TDK better watch its ass. It may not even open in the top five!

He's pure Marvel fanboy who wants TDK to crash and burn. TIH made $6.4 mil on Fri (6/20) according to BOM which puts it on pace for $130 - $140 mil domestic take. I bet he will say it will still make more than TDK.
