Beast Wars Is Reportedly One of the Two Transformers Spinoffs in the Works

I didn't think about prehistoric Earth but rather than just seeing the Animal Transformers in the movie, without the Car Transformers.

Well they are trying to go off of the soft reboot setup from Bumblebee, which while it didn't do huge numbers is the first well reviewed live-action Transformers movie ever.

Agreed.

Btw, I've met Ron Perlman at a convention years ago. He's honestly one of the nicest actors you could ever meet and I'm happy to see him get more work. Dude's also a veteran voice actor and I can't WAIT to see him and Peter Cullen play off each other!
My only concern here is I'm hoping they keep some/most of the characteristics of the BW characters in this movie. Perlman as Primal is leaving me hopeful that may be the case, but after watching Transformers: War for Cybertron Kingdom, that's my main concern here. Seems like there is a lack of respect for the unique personalities/popularity of the BW characters, yet decade after decade the G1 Transformers maintain the same character traits, mostly at least.

This quote from one of the producers on this film leaves me concerned with how they'll handle these BW characters...
In June 2017, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura stated that a film adaptation of Beast Wars was not in plans, as he explained: "I'm probably not the one to be asking that question to because I don't get Beast Wars, but you know, thankfully I'm not the only vote on it. I've never quite understood, they kind of feel like incompatible to me, you have animals, robots, we're used to cars.

We'll see.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura thinks the entire franchise is stupid. He’s a leech who’s only in it for the money.

Is Lorenzo one of those Producers that just has dirt on anybody ? Reminds me of Tom Rothman

Lorenzo is apparently a very kind and gracious man who just happens to have horrible taste. Rothman has awful taste and is a mean-spirited bully.

Yeah, that’s never a great sign. Like the others, sounds like they’re basing the story around the action. Now as they shoot, trying to make sense of it all.

And a film is supposed to have 3 acts!

So we have four writers, plus Joby Harold, who wrote the story for the film.

Only Paramount movies at CinemaCon: Top Gun 2, M:I7, The Lost City, Jackass Forever, and Clifford.

I mean, why even showcase the film if there are not any children there?

Sampling the merchandise so to speak? CinemaCon is primarily attended by theater owners and exhibitors. So I guess it gives them a chance to preview the film and see if it's something they want more or less of on their screens.
