Lmao

The next film after batman/Superman will be Justice league and I bet wonder woman will be
non SUperman and batman character that gets the most focus.

I didn't realize really how tall Affleck is, will he end up being the tallest Batman yet?

Ignoring the origin has nothing to do with age.

Superman and Batman always felt like peers to me. Making Batman older changes up the dynamic a bit. And now that the guy cast as Batman is actually a huge star and the guy cast as Superman isn't... that dynamic switches up even further. They don't feel like equals now.

But do we know how old Bruce is gonna be?

This. After Flash got demoted to TV, Wonder Woman in the third film made complete sense.

This makes it even more so because again, I just don't see Affleck doing a lot of these films. I see him doing two films and then splitting because he gave WB what they wanted, possibly two billion dollars films back to back with this film and the third...in the same summer as Avengers 2 and 3.

Affleck is 41, probably portraying a 41 year old Bruce Wayne. Even though Cavill is only 30, he will be playing a 34 year old Clark Kent. So it's not a big deal.

I guess it's better than a 12 year difference if Brolin took the job.

Two weeks ago this movie would have annoyed the heck out of me but in the last couple of weeks I've seen Affleck's directed movies and I see him in a whole new light, in fact I would now class myself as an Affleck fan.

But I'm cautious because (imho) I've just to see Affleck give a good performance in a movie that he didn't write or direct.

State of Play.

The only thing I ASK WB, is to make this Batman the SAME Batman from the Nolanverse. Makes total sense. They are looking for an experienced and battered Batman. Which totally fits the ending of the TDKR. An honest truth, if I were WB, I would not want just to throw away 7 years and tons of million dlls of three movies.

No, double no, and triple no. Makes ZERO sense. Yeah, they are looking for an experienced Batman, but that story point can be made clear just by showing/mentioning in the movie that he's already been active for a few years. No need for a new retelling of the origin cause the general audience is already familiar enough with it...and DEFINiTELY no need to connect it to the TDK trilogy, since it would just cheapen the perfect ending that Nolan gave us by letting his version of Bruce have the happy ending that he deserved, not to mention that it would also mean never getting a proper version of Robin/Nightwing(John Blake was good for what he was in TDKR, but I wanna see Dick Grayson), never seeing the Joker again(since no actor would or should want to play THAT version again, out of respect for Ledger), and no Two-Face ever again(since, y'know...he's dead and all).

Say what you will about The Spirit, but after watching his latest work and performances, Gabriel Macht is my personal choice
Yeah, umm, that's not gonna happen...the title of this thread isn't a casting suggestion or anything, its the latest news, sooooo...

that doesnt make sense, people wanted Bale or Brolin. Most of the names out there that was attached to this role were bigger than Cavil was so no matter what you end up with a bigger name. Affleck doesnt appear that much older than Cavill anyway. its not as if Batman is gonna be a father figure to Superman.

Not following that logic...

It is if you're one of the few who foolishly thinks Affleck will use his clout to cast his wife as Catwoman or Wonder Woman.

Then again, she also deserves a second chance for playing a comic-book character. She hasn't totally revamped her image like her husband (due to her raising a family), but I think she deserves a chance to prove naysayers wrong.

I expect Afflect to be batman In this and justice league and then write, direct, and star In solo batman film so he would be in 3 films like bale after that he might still be involved behind the scenes as writer and director on more
batman films.don't forget they have opotion of doing some batman films as prequels to batman/superman and Justice league.

is Clooney that tiny or Affleck´s head is inmense?

Maybe not a father figure but even if he comes off as like an older brother...

It's not about that. It's about who Affleck is in his career right now. Do you guys really think he'll do the RDJ and play this character six times?

Hell no, he's not. He has too many interests as a director to play this character six times at this point in his career. He just won't do it.

WB is not building a cinematic universe in the way fans want. I still contend that they're just doing a trilogy that began as a Superman trilogy but now has been converted into a trilogy about how the three greatest superheros came together.

Of course, this is my opinion, but this is my gut feeling on what WB's doing.

I think WB has no real plan. They are just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks.

I dunno. It will be interesting to see how many films WB optioned Ben for. Hope that comes out.

If it's confined to a trilogy with Superman as the anchor, it'll stick. They don't have confidence in the other characters after what happened with Lantern.

And considering WB has other interests as a studio, why should they deviate from Superman, Batman, and maybe Wonder Woman if she's introduced/accepted in the third film?

I think WB has no real plan. They are just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks.

"The fans have plans, the blogs have plans, Snyder’s got plans. You know, they’re fanboys. Fanboys trying to control their worlds. I’m not a fanboy. I try to show the fanboys how, pathetic, their attempts to control things really are." - WB
