He looks and acts like bruce wayne, layered pubic personal and all...
He's capable of charisma and gravitas and assertive action...

It's such an obvious casting choice with the only down side being a decade old tainted public image. Ripe for fan boy overreaction.
This reminds me of the early RDJ days, only RDJ was a has been.

And his own story sort of echoes what a 40 year old Bruce Wayne might have went through. I like it.

After 2 or 3 films with Affleck Bats they can go for solo films with nearly every character of DC. They can mix solo movies with Justice League movies after 2 or 3 films with Cavill and Affleck. Jesus, affleck will not play batman 6 times that's ridiculous.

I don't think Ben will play Batman for 4 or 5 solos as a youinger actor might have.

But if WF does well they can use Ben/Batman in JL to really launch Flash and GL and WW into stand-alones. Maybe they will then recast a younger Batman (assuming Ben signs on for just WF and JL, a re-launch a younger Batman franchise.

It is no revelation to me that a company's objective is to generate profit. Marvel is no different. I just dislike Marvel's way of setting about it, and I am pleased that WB is taking a different route.

Exactly this!

People keep citing Gigli and Daredevil, but those were literally a decade ago. Its not like he's clearly grown as an actor, director, artist and creator in that time.
