I'd be much more interested if he was directing instead of Synder. Snyder is 1 out of 4 for me so far

3 out of 4 for me. Sucker Punch only faltered with the inexplicable ending for me. Otherwise, I enjoyed the crap out of the movie right up until that point. Opinions are opinions though.

I'm still pretty content with this news. Which is a first given all that's been announced since this project.

I wonder what kind of physicality we can expect from Affleck come Mar-Apr(?) next year? I expect Snyder will have him on the Cavill Gym Jones schedule starting yesterday.

I swear, back when Affleck was rumoured as a possible director for JL, there were a couple of flippant comments about him casting himself.

I hope they did test him with Cavill before casting him. The chemistry between the two men is what will make this film... and if Affleck and Cavill don't click, it'll be awkward.

Can someone find the article with the interview he did after he portrayed SUPERMAN where he talks about how humiliating it is to wear a costume and that he would never do it again.

1) Superman didn't throw down many kung fu moves.

2) Plenty of superheroes in modern films now wear fabric, and it looks just fine.

3) You never know what will happen until it happens.

Refresh me on which superheroes wear fabric so I can watch it and judge. Spidey's suit doesn't really count because it has all that rubber texturing. Captain America's suit is close and I like it but envision something diff. in nature for Bat's suit.

Im pretty sue Ben didn't have to read or test, he probably read some of the script.

It would be like asking him to wear Adam West's Batman costume for this movie.

My initial reaction to Affleck's casting was disapproval and disappointment. I've never cared for him as an actor, and I didn't think Argo was anything spectacular despite it's Oscar winning status. I'm having a very hard time envisioning him as Batman.

With that said, I'll give this a chance before I completely write it off. As others have pointed out, there have been apparent bad casting decisions that turned out well. And I'm excited for the prospect of Batman & Superman in the same movie so I'm going to keep a positive mindset.
