So have the "Ben Affleck has been replaced as Batman for massive reshoots" rumors started in here yet?

This thread has gotten ridiculous lol. Red, puffy face? He looks completely normal, maybe a little sunburned, his hair isn't prepared for a photo, and he's mid blink. Somebody's struggle with addiction or alcoholism is nothing to discuss like this

Standard hype behaviour.

Totally agree.

I've got a question:

So we all know that Deathstroke (and Joker possibly) will be in The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves.

But what direction to we REALLY want to see Batman's solo series go in? Do we want to see the Court of Owls come into play soon, or should more personal stories like Under the Red Hood happen first?

Personally I think it would be cool if they did a Hush film ASAP.

I honestly have zero interest in the Court of Owls, I what to see the classic Batman villains done well.

The Court of Owls is a major plot element on GOTHAM this season. I doubt they have cinematic plans for them at the moment. Johns is in charge, and seems to hew a bit more classic.

I may be alone in this but it would absolutely complete me if for a sequel to The Batman we get Mr Freeze. A GOOD Mr Freeze story. Get an actor that could really portray the tragic sadness and (pardon the pun) coldness of Victor Freeze. I think that villain is rife with potential for a dark, emotional, tragic but powerful movie about a man falling from grace for all the right reasons.

How about both, merge them together and have the court bring back Jason due to his potential as an apprentice of Batman making him the lead Talon, mix in the labyrinth sequence where he hallucinates and use that to innocuously introduce backstory on Jason without blatantly giving away that he is the mystery man in the mask.

I rather not because I saw that in Arkham Knight but instead of the court of owls it's every criminal in Gotham paying for his service.

While he'd be the general for their army, he'd not be whiny and would fully believe in the mission of the court to pacify Gotham, so he'd be willing to disobey them should he perceive them to stray from the path (which they would giving a backdoor for future movies to use him as the Red Hood instead of the Lead Talon, maybe tie the origin of the name not just to the Joker but also in that it was a wider spread gang that Jason was once a part of before being taken in by Batman).

It would be the difference between him working for them vs. him working with them (which was the major problem with him in AK, he was whiny and was constantly getting his leash yanked around by Scarecrow undermining his villainy and threat level, this was not helped by his pitiful boss battle).

Honestly, with his issues right now, i don't see how he can focus on Batman for the next 5-6 years and put in a decent, respectful interpretation.

My guess, They film JL2 and the solo flick near each other, to play it safe and have Ben under lock and key and then focus on other characters.

Insane in the membrane! I am like that dude in the BTS of BvS when they were filming Affleck in the warehouse scene covering his mouth like "Hoooooly shheeeeitttt..." Affleck is a damn freak of nature as Batman. Love it.

Want to see Affleck say this one day.

Batfleck is love :ilv::ilv::ilv:

I still can't believe it, man; if 5 years ago you've told me Ben Affleck would make the perfect Batman, I would've beat you to death with a pillow (yeah, I'd take my time!); yet....

As someone who's a big Mr. Freeze fan, I agree. Hoping to see a proper live-action version of the character (excluding Gotham) in the DCEU.

Now man he's not a freak of nature or perfection.... He's just Batfleck, the Batman the people need and deserve.
BTW are Clark and Bruce usually depicted as being around the same age? Is this the first time where Bruce has been shown as being considerably older not counting his aging and Clark not?

No Bruce was always shown or said to be older than Clark but not by that much. It was usually always about a 3 to 5 years age gap.

Yes there is potential for a great story there.
