Ben Affleck IS Bruce Wayne/Batman - Part 2

Where are these from? These look like one of those 3D photoreal renderings of cartoons, except this time it's actually been brought to life already. I'm still unconvinced of Ben's future in this role, but damn if I'm not grateful for being graced with that beaut of a Batman.

I found the photos here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BVDQfJaBuER/?hl=en

Oh right, thanks. I guess I never really liked my car anyway.

Love scale models and this one is just uncanny. Baman in the flesh.

:hehe:

It's scary realistic, I agree.

It may just be me, but I think all that beefing up Ben did for the role is starting to take a negative toll on him, I think some of that muscle mass is turning into fat. I know Snyder wanted Ben to have the massive hulking Frank Miller look but going forward I think he would do well to try to slim down a little and get a more lean shape like he did in The Town.
Muscles can't turn into fat or vice versa.

It's called hair and makeup. No one looks perfect all the time without them.

That must be Deathstroke right? Because he doesn't have a gun. I'm sorry comic book fans but I always mix up Deadpool, Deadshot, and Deathstroke in my head.
It's a great beautiful image either way.

I would be thrilled to bits if Affleck wanted to get in similar shape to how he was in The Town, but getting as lean and cut as he was in that film is significantly more demanding than simply putting on muscle mass.

He doesn't need to be cut or ripped anymore. They did the shirtless scene, now all we need is for him to maintain a slim physique so his face doesn't look chubby or anything. The suit can do all the work for him and when he is just Bruce he is often wearing a suit with an over coat so it's not necessary for him to be in the gym 24/7. Ben's lucky because he has wide shoulders/chest and a slim waist so he looks pretty huge even when he is thinner.

A noir style detective film is exactly what I want for Affleck's solo.

Bingo.

I honestly want more scenes of Bruce showing his physical prowess as well as his preparations. Not to get too homoerotic here, but the shirtless scenes do provide an easy access towards highlighting how much Bruce is the "real deal".

We're well past the rubber suit phase, I'm not a fan of encouraging the suit do all the work. Cavill's dedication to the Superman build is still impressive even without seeing much underneath for that precise reason.

It's not like this should have been a surprise for Ben. If he's as big of a fan as he says he is, then you know that going in. You're being paid millions for this part and you have the luxury of time, plus the honor of taking on an iconic role. I don't think it's asking for too much to ask him to maintain peak physical conditioning for the time during filming.

I think that given how much it would take to maintain operational efficiency as Batman that we should see more of what makes Bruce as formidable as he is. I think that training sequences, for both body and mind, can be used to show character and lay out your protagonists capabilities for the audience.

You think they'll do a "what Batman has been up to since Bvs" scene at the beginning. Like stopping a random crime unrelated to main story ala Bale's fist scene in Dk with the chechen and Scarecrow

Possibly. Would be a good way to see some kind of effect Superman's death has had on Bruce. Maybe he's even making his way to Metropolis more these days out of guilt over the part he played in taking that city's protector away?

On the other hand... Could be the recruitment of a team of metahumans has been what he's been up to as well. I think that beard we see in the AM part of the trailer would indicate a Bruce that's concentrating on finding the other heroes over crime fighting in Gotham for right now.

That's what I hope, that all his focus has been on getting the team together.

Yeah, it seems Batman will be absent from Gotham for a while.

Hm, I actually think its more demanging putting on the muscle mass than slimming down. I guess its all relative though ( I myself am actively trying to gain mass and its incredibly hard for me). For Ben, I imagine he needs to be continously eating and lifting, eating and lifting and so on. To slim down, he just needs to increase his cardio and cut back on his daily calorie intake. I think for someone like him that is less demanding.

That would be pretty cool. A sort of Batman not hiding from the public. A scene with a speeding Batmobile and people cheering. Maybe a tad cheesy/corny hah.

Actually I dont want a Batman that the public cheers for. Leave that for the likes of Superman and Spider-man.

Batman is more effective as someone from from the shadows, that strikes fear into the hearts of superstitious criminals.

Would be nigh impossible to maintain the mystery when you're a main player of a worldwide superhero team.

I don't need him attending charity events, but I do think the cat's out the bag. I'd be interested to see a Batman who's more out in the open, and for his arsenal and costume to reflect those changes.

Yeah I'd be definitely on-board with this.

I was thinking something along the lines of the opening of Batman Telltale series

I hope Ben Affleck looks as good in Justice League as he does in this pic, in his recent pictures he is not looking that great.

I actually thought he looked a bit too gaunt in the BVS premiere pics. Thought he looked healthier in 2015

Flash (to Bruce) : "I needs friends"

Bruce (to Waller): "My friends and I will do it for you"

Also, love the change in his voice at the end.
