Ben Affleck IS Bruce Wayne/Batman - Part 3

I feel like I say this several times a day around here...

But are we really just going to believe EVERYTHING we hear?

Everything?

Like Paradox said...evidence hasn't entered into this conversation.

Good thinking. Doubting victims is always the best policy.

Sorry if the info has already been posted but Annamarie Tendler, wife of comedian John Mulaney, has now also come forward via twitter saying That Ben grabbed her ass at a 2014 Golden Globes afterparty.

I don’t even know what to say anymore.
suddenly everyone's been groped by Affleck. I believe Hillary Burton, but doesn't mean that I believe Annamarie. idk, but we are living in a world where people accused each other
a few months ago a woman was arrested for making false rape claims, can you imagine how it destroyed that guy's life? Now, i'm in no way condone Ben's act, to me he is an *******, but in these recent years he's trying to turn over a new leaf with the alcohol addiction and the divorce. Let's say we give him a chance. We're not all saints. A redditor Camilla2244 puts it best:

"I think he was a dumbass when he was young! its obvious..he was drunk and stupid. I think he has changed. i dont think Ben Affleck is a bad person. I think he has deamons and addiction issues and he gets condemned for that. He is trying to get better with rehab and life coaches. From personal experience I can tell you alcohol changes a person. When they drink they can be completely different than who they are in real life.As for this Hilary Burton stuff, I believe her. I believe he may have badly touched her. Don't know if he meant it or not. But the best thing he could have done is to apologize and he did. If hewould have said nothing it would have looked bad and trying to contradict her would have been horrible. At least he had the ballsto admit her opinion as a woman and say sorry for it.As for Weinstein, ohh please the whole ****ing collective Hollywood group knew something was up, not just Ben. Its an industry problem. That man had the power to end any actors career if he wanted to so they all kept shut. Rose McGowan as well. She took money to not say anything. Im not trying to blame the victim though cuz that power than man had is just now starting to be discovered and it sucks for all these women. If she told Affleck what Weinstein had done to her, apparently he confronted him for it and told him to stop. What else could he have done when Rose herself did not speak up? Its upsetting butthis is what Hollywood is and it sucks big timeAs for Casey Affleck, im sure the family had very long and extensive discussion about what he did. I cant stand Casey Affleck hes a total *****e but I think its a bit harsh to condemn Ben Affleck for not publicly dissing his own brother, his own damn family member. Thats toughbut in all honesty though I think his days at Batman are numbered."

Why would someone put their professional integrity on the line just to lie about something like that.

Jesus.

I feel conflicted because I have to be honest, Ben is an awesome Batman. Loved that latest clip of him bantering with Aquaman.

This reminds me of the time when everyone was groped by the governator.

Why would someone put their professional integrity on the line to do what is being accused?

People do things for all kinds of reasons.

The second with the Canadian lady isn't anything to write home about. That lady does that with alot of interviews. She even came out she started it.

Because most of the time they can get away with these things. People with immense power tend to take more chances than those with little clout in the industry.

BS guys do this weather they are famous or not. You ever been to a club or party.

So you acknowledge that this happens all the time, which is why we should give the victim the benefit of the doubt. Especially when there is proof. And especially when he not only doesn’t deny, but apologizes for it in a public forum.

But what about innocent til proven guilty? When does that apply? Do we just throw this out whenever it's convenient now.
Well one, this isn't a court of law. Secondly, while false accusations are a real things, they are not common at all. Third what about any of this sounds far-fetched? One is allowed to believe what they want of course, but he has already apologized for doing it at least once.

Is Affleck being tried in court?

I got another one for you that applies to this situation way, way better: "where there's smoke, there's fire".

Funny thing is... this isn't the first time we've had this conversation. Remind me how that first situation turned out with FFINO?

Nobody that I'm aware of, here has any first hand accounts of what happened. Hearing it from anonymous sources doesn't make anything true no matter how reliable the source. Why anyone would hold on to such a thing as absolute truth is beyond me. There is a saying I learned early in life that I apply to all rumors "Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see".

At this point you're denying common sense because it doesn't match up to what you want to be true.
Here's a better saying for you: "where there's smoke, there's fire".

Not to condone any of his actions, but to be fair, the Hilarie Burton thing, he owned up to it. The other thing with the flirty reporter is cleared up to be part of the program. The only thing that still stands out is the new accusation of his groping at an awards party in 2014. As for the other accusations, even the tweets themselves says "friend of a friend who this happened to." Those are the ones I'm skeptical of.

Ofcourse, which is why he apologized. The 2nd video through has been debunked. That reporter dies that all the time and she even defended Ben saying she initiated it.

Also females grope too, but more rarly

Eh, bringing up the 'females grope too' argument in regards to this topic isn't exactly the best course of action, dude.

I understand the video with the report in his lap was planned. Personally knowing he did it once with Burton plus what McGowan said has me ready to believe most coming forward.

Anne-Marie Losique? Yeah, that's her shtick, it was a part of the show. Haven't seen any videos that incriminate Affleck, but I'm not really following this right now... things should become clearer in the next few days, so there's no reason to follow it all at this point.

Nope, as we've all learned tonight, introducing this new angle to the conversation is strictly forbidden.

Oh how do I long for the days taht the worse that can be said about DCEU was that Snyder was still directing JL.

It's can not be just applied to a court of law, I would argue it's a principle in life. That everyone should follow, when that principle is abandoned we get the Salem Witch Trials, we get the Duke University Lacrosse team. We get a bunch of people whipped into a frenzy ready to kill someone without a shred of evidence to prove something one way or the other. The other problem is people jump in to push their own agendas.
