The sooner Affleck leaves this role, the better.
One of these is a picture of the front of Affleck's face. The other is an angled shot of his face.
There are other shots in even the original trailer that are very similar to the reshoot shot of Affleck posted here.
People have even posted shots of Affleck from the original version side by side with insert shots from the reshoot...even in those, his face is clearly at a different angle than previous shots, or inclined differently. These things affect how your face and its elements look, especially on film.
The general point here is that people's faces look different from different angles.
Good thing subjectivity is a thing, huh Mr. J?
Affleck clearly looks different in certain scenes than others (like on the plane with Alfred as just one example). This has nothing to do with angles. There was not a single scene in BvS that I thought, "Hmm, Ben looks weird here." Do we think that Snyder was just a genius at always showing Ben's good angles in that movie? But in JL, there are quite a few of these scenes.
Indeed. Its why so few people are upset by the prospect of bland Batfleck coming to an end.
So much for subjectivity...
The scene where hes clean shaven? Yeah. People look different without facial hair, too. And in different lighting.

Unreal
Tell us more about how Kate Mara's reshoot wig in FFINO was totally fine.
Yep.

Affleck's puffy face didnt help, but it could have been so much better. The lighting, color grading, make up, wig etc all played a part, and it should have been better. But no point in complaining about it now. What's done is done.
"No, Fabian, I said less epic, not more..."
I'm with you Guard. It's like this burgeoning beer belly some people some relatives are claiming I've got going: it's just the angle you're viewing me at, you humorless philistines.
So its got nothing to do with angles...did his nose magically change position during reshoots? Did his nose change shape? Did his eyes move further away from the side of his head? Of course not. He is angled more to the side in original footage, and is just a bit more open in the reshoots. Its not an extreme difference, but on film, a small change like that produces a different visual. Im not saying he was in the exact same shape during reshoots, but puffy? Aside from the scene that immediately follows him shaving, which tends to make your skin look pink and somewhat puffy... not so much.
This is such a weird hill to die on.
It's not camera angles or shaving. He got botox and was receiving treatment for alcoholism. His physical appearance notably changed between the original shoot and the reshoots. We can all see it.
