Lol, I've never claimed to have any. What if Reeves doesn't want to direct more than one Batman movie ? This is the impression I get from him, it has been a year since he got the directors gig, isn't it?


By now he should have started shooting.

I understand that he signed on in Feb last year and continued to finish his Apes series, released it late July and took a break.

In Jan this year he said he's outlining the story, and in mid-May he turned in the first act (might have written more who knows).

Word on the street is he'll shoot in April next year, ready for a 2020 release.

So he'd have done Apes movies in 2014, 2017 and then 2020...shocking

and if he has that netflix deal, he might do that afterwards for a year and return for part 2 of Batman...

We'll see

I worked with Ben extensively on set on his solo Batman film and he was anything but miserable. We talked extensively about how he wanted to play Bats in the film and he was quite jazzed.

No problem Yup I found it interesting because I also believed Ben was really excited to explore and direct a Batman film, but when he witnessed firsthand what WB and Whedon put his character through in JL, he probably knew there was no coming back from that.

Yeah. People seem to forget this, but Ben always seems enthusiased about the role, and he has said he wants to play Batman. The only time he expressed concerns and looked annoyed was during the JL press...

Also people might think "why isnt he coming out and setting the record straight then?"...first of all he did. In CC 2017. And second if he does that now, and then Reeves replaces him, how bad will it look for him?

I'm pretty sure Ben was very excited about his Batman movie, but was probably being rushed by WB about the release date, add that to how he saw the JL situation was going to pan out and his personal problems, he had to step down...as a director. Atleast now it will set the record straight and people wont do the whole "Ben wants to leave because of BvS"...Oliva confirms what we had thought. He was quite happy during the PF of JL. It was what happened after that...

I think last I heard Hamada wants to keep him, and so does WB...hopefully Reeves feels the same way.

That would freak me out if I saw that staring back at me. The thicker neck looked so much more powerful than the trimmed version in JL. They always seem to mess up Batman's suit in the second film (TDK/JL).
