Was all for a recast at this point, but I’m ok with a movie featuring Affleck’s batman that isn’t directed by Zack Snyder or half a movie trying to be salvaged by Joss Whedon

Hopefully Matt Reeves can help Ben exercise his comic book movie demons

The thing is, even if some of us didn't, I think Ben very clearly enjoyed his experience working with Zack and how the character was meant to develop. And I can imagine that knowing he'll never get that again has really hurt his desire to return.

I think his skin is thick enough to accept negative reception his movies, but when the actual process of making said movies has been horribly compromised, well that's another story.

I'm not saying anything about this as a business. Just saying that even during the JL press tour he was still obviously very happy with what he created with Zack. And the thing he enjoyed making is constantly getting trashed. So why bother?

My point here is that even if some of us want a Batman far removed from what Zack created, Ben doesn't seem to feel the same way. So it's no big shock that he's wishy washy on returning.

No arguments here. BvS is still my favorite on-screen Batman, but if the stuff that comes next doesn't jive with Affleck then bring in some new blood. I'd like for him to give it a shot, but no use if his heart isn't in it and when you can find someone whose heart actually is.

Still think Cillian Murphy could kill it given the opportunity. But I'm sorta just up for whatever at this point as long as I like it.

Lots of things that make general audiences laugh don't make for a better movie. If the movie started with a pie in the face gag, it would have been met with laughter.

I believe that the Studios Execs demanded more and more jokes and quips from Whedon, which resulted in terrible jokes. I say this because some of the dialogue was amazingly bad.

Lot of dialogue was unnecessarily changed, perhaps to make the movie fit into 2 hour run-time. So, I put most of the blame on WB Execs and some on Whedon.


Also, some of the jokes and character interactions written by Whedon were received well by general audience, so I can see why Studio wanted that, but they went overboard with quips.

The studio's last ditch effort was "if we can make the audience laugh, we may profit off of this thing." So Whedon's main goal was to complety shift the tone of the film. Replace epic with funny, basically.

Have you guys seen this? Conrad is saying the guy at the far end is Ben. It's weird though because he'd be wearing his Bruce Wayne wig off camera? That makes me think it ain't him but Momoa seems to be specifically spotlighting that person. It's weird. The middle guy is D.B Weiss, a GOT writer. I doubt he was focusing on him.

If I had to guess, I'd wager that Momoa is going to make a cameo appearance in GoT as Khal Drogo again since it's the last season, since D.B. Weiss is there in that clip.
