Man,.. it didn't just blow Scott away,... it seduced him,... it deceived Scott into thinking that it was Jean ....it tried (and succeeded) into tapping into Scott's one weakness,... his love for Jean, and it got him,...hook line and sinker.
You're avoiding the question.

What are you talking about?..I answered the question..avoiding it how?
The question is simple. Why didn't Phoenix demolecularize Logan the same way she did Scott, Xavier, and the victims on Alcatraz?

She doesn't need seduction to use that power and she didn't need to find the weakness of any of them to use that power either.

Why didn't Phoenix disintegrate Logan if he was a threat? That's the question you're avoiding to answer.

You guys are looking for answers that are right in front of your face, the Phoenix entity was clearly trying to appeal to the animalistic side of Logan,... the part of Logan that is the beast,..the Phoenix is a beast..it was trying to win him over to it's side by appealing to the one thing that they both had in common...rage and anger,.....the Phoenix entity clearly said to Logan.....

..."What?...you think he's not in your head too....LOOK AT YOU LOGAN....HE'S TAMED YOU....,

Earlier in the film Logan had a discussion with Xavier about.....

"Sometimes when you try to cage the beast...the beast gets angry".....

Come on you guys connect the dots....

The Phoenix entity was trying to win Logan over....trying to appeal to the side of Logan that would ignore Charles Xavier and be more willing to accept that "it" (the Phoenix entity) was the more desirable of the two.

Come on guys, you both sound like intelligent people who have been reading comics for a while,...I shouldn't have to spell this stuff out.

WHAT!? It was Jean who was talking to Scott at first, otherwise she wouldnt have remembered talking to him.

If that's your problem with X3...then Spider-Man 3 must have been a nightmare for you...because Spider-Man 3...was a hundred times more poorly written and poorly directed than X3.

...and that's the whole thrust of my argument...Spider-Man 3 is CLEARLY the worst of those two movies,.. X3 while not faithful to the comic is still a good movie,.... Spider-Man 3 was not even faithful to itself as a movie...and therefore the worst of the two.

How is Spiderman 3 CLEARLY the worst when it earned double the money X3 did and got a better critical and fan response? Your opinion doesnt stand for the world.

Okay, then I shouldnt have to spell this out, once she FAILED in seducing him, why didnt she kill him? She had multiple oppurtunities to throughout the movie, but she didnt, why?

Once again your argument is flawed I'm afraid.

No man it was the Phoenix entity the whole time,.. it was the Phoenix entity talking to Scott from the time it came from the water.....Jean was long gone and replaced as evidenced by the ending of the 2nd movie when we saw the fire image under the water.

Box Office bank does not a great movie make.

Maybe it was the side of Jean who was struggling to save him, maybe it was the writer and director who decided it was best to KEEP THE STAR OF THE MOVIE ALIVE.....we'll never know,..but one thing is for sure,...

.... X3 as far as story and sensibility of plot is concerned is far more superior than Spider-Man 3....because Spider-Man 3 made no sense at all.

Id have to go with Batman Forever, just because its sheer ridiculousness. I remember being a kid and being so entertained. That final Batman Jump was awesome too, oh and the part when they run into the camera at the end. I always thought that was awesome.

So wrong, just quit while you are behind.

Spidey 3 made as much sense as X3 which is why they're both equally terrible.

Jean was still there, it was evidenced through the WHOLE movie that Jean was still there, The Pheonix only took over at certain points, this was completely and utterly obvious in the movie. Jean remembered seeing Scott at the lake so Jean was Jean for a part of it.

Box Office bank does not a great movie make.

No, but it shows how popular a movie is with the public.

Maybe it was the side of Jean who was struggling to save him, maybe it was the writer and director who decided it was best to KEEP THE STAR OF THE MOVIE ALIVE.....we'll never know,..but one thing is for sure,...

Your sentence in capitals just shows the thinking of that movie, "lets throw plot and making sense out the door to keep the star alive!" Not a good way to further your argument

No it isnt, X3 is one of the worst CB movies I have ever seen, Spider-Man was heavily flawed, but at least its watchable and makes sense, were as X3 just totally doesnt.

Spider-Man was heavily flawed, but at least its watchable and makes sense,
So let me ask you a question,.. if Spider-man 3 made so much sense..why in the world did they make the Sandman the killer of Uncle Ben? What's the sense in that?

Thats actually a part of the movie I hate, it was an atrocious decision that should never have been put to film, it was completely unnecessary and a terrible decision. BUT, unlike the changes in X3, it didnt ruin the overall movie for me.

I'm ahead and you know it.
No you're not. You're saying that everything that Jean did in X3 was actually just Phoenix, that Jean is dead and that her body is pretty much just a shell that the Phoenix is using. If that were true there would be no way for Jean to help Logan kill her at the finale. Xavier even says in the movie(that you're defending) that at the end of X2, she subconsciously created a psychic cocoon to protect herself from the water, as was done in the comics. So yeah, you are behind in your reasoning. I think it's you who has to watch the movie again to notice all the inconsistencies of the failure of a movie.

Thank you for admitting that much,... and I mean that sincerely,...because I thought it was horrible.

Now on to the next question...please explain the scene with "the butler".

No you're not. You're saying that everything that Jean did in X3 was actually just Phoenix, that Jean is dead and that her body is pretty much just a shell that the Phoenix is using.
No 'Majik1387', obviously Jean had some momentary control of her existence within the movie, but during the scene when she first met Scott at the lake..it was the Phoenix.

It was a poor plot point to move the story along, another poor move.

Just because I like Spiderman 3, it doesnt mean I find the movie flawless, as I have said multiple times in this thread, it is heavily flawed, but it has 1000 times more good moments than X3 does, for me.

No 'Majik1387', obviously Jean had some momentary control of her existence within the movie, but during the scene when she first met Scott at the lake..it was the Phoenix.
And again, no it wasn't. It was Jean. Watch the movie again.

No, actually it wasnt, this was even stated in the script and it was clear in the movie, otherwise Jean wouldnt have remembered even meeting Scott.

I think there's hope for you yet my man,...

Now..do you think the scene with 'the butler" is worse than the scene with Multiple Man getting captured for Magneto?

Both were poor, but for me the MM one was worse. Magneto doesnt even describe who he is or what he is doing, just says he could use him, and MM just shrugs and goes "Am in" with a smile on his face? Atrocious.

So let me ask you a question,.. if Spider-man 3 made so much sense..why in the world did they make the Sandman the killer of Uncle Ben? What's the sense in that?

That's easy, they needed to make the Sandman character more important so they could get a big important "name" actor to play him. :whatever:

I agree that it was an awful move.

I agree that it was an awful move.
And anybody with half a brain knows that Spider-Man 3 is the worst of those two movies...and I don't care what the poll or the box office dollars says.

Spider-Man 3 comes off worse because it was made by the same people who did Spider-Man 1 and 2, which were great movies. That's why it's the biggest disappointment, IMO.
