TDK trilogy is better without any doubt.

Though I think Cap's Trilogy is better than Iron Man's trilogy.

There are TONS of superhero trilogies better than the Iron Man trilogy. The IM trilogy only has ONE good movie.

You forgot Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face. He was fantastic.

He was forced, tacked on. Loses it completely/becomes a homicidal maniac because he loses his girlfriend and is disfigured.
I could have lived with that but I hated his coin flipping, it was a plot device rather than a MO (modus operandi). He is in the car and flips the coin to see whether Morone(sp) lives or dies, The coin says he lives so he flips the coin to see if the driver lives or dies. If the coin had said the driver lives would he have continued to flip the coin until he received the answer he was looking for?
Each to their own but Two-Face being cut from TDK would have made the movie tighter with less flaws.

In the Batman Trilogy, I have only truly enjoyed two Batman villains.
Joker
Scarecrow

I enjoyed Ras as a mentor but checked out of the climax of BB when it was revealed he was the antagonist. That didn't for me at all.

Hated Bane's look and voice and thought his plan was stupid.
Catwoman wasn't really an antagonist.

I didn't like Two-Face at all either. I didn't buy Dent's transformation into a super villain at all given the tone of the movie. In one of the most serious and grounded superhero movies we got one of the most cartoony character twists. I was also disappointed in that TDK had lots of very nice practical effects, some pretty difficult in the car chases, and then they abandon that for Two-Face's disfigurement and instead got some terrible CGI design.

I do think Ra's worked well though. He's of course not as interestingly played as the Joker, but I do think he's better written. He does not rely on such big plot conveniences. His plan makes more sense and seems more plausible, despite that it's based on a super villain science trope. I also enjoyed the use of the theme of fear more than the one of chaos in the sequel, which also leads into...

Scarecrow, who was great and I kind of wish that they had made him a bigger focus and had more of the horror theme in the movie. Especially at the end when the gas is everywhere, but instead they went with the by far biggest disappointment of the movie.

Even though I kind of like Bane, I can't help but agree with this. I found the voice distracting and his overall plan pretty questionable given the world that Nolan had set up.

Bane instilled fear in me in a way no other villain in the genre has. Every time he's on screen, nothing felt safe, everything was at risk. I was genuinely scared for the characters when he showed up. The Joker had a similar effect, but he could at least distract you with his humor and energy. Bane was just a monster.

The best lines by any villain came from Bane when he first met Bruce in the sewer and revealed to him his presence in the League of Shadows. Love that scene and confrontation.

Until the movie neutered him and made him a crying weakling.

Loki and Magneto have both shed tears in the movies. It didn't neuter them or make them weaklings.

His death was an anti-climax but I don't think they neutered him at all.

But he was crying because he had an affectionate relationship with a woman who he treated as his equal. So there are many in the fan community (though not necessarily in this thread) who consider him a weakling because of that. He is supposed to snap necks and break backs, man, no chicks allowed. He does not collaborate with others.

Well, I'd say each and every movie in TDK trilogy is better than TFA, but CW and TWS are on par with TDK for me....so I may have to give the edge to Captain America. But each trilogy is incredible.

Which do you prefer ??

Definitely TDKT. TDK is the best CBM movie ever made, and of these six films TFA is by far the weakest.

Cap has the only super hero trilogy to get better with each outing. It's been groundbreaking in just about every sense.

TDKT is three first class and masterfully made movies (yes I'm including Rises there). I have never really liked The First Avenger very much, and think its weaknesses, especially regarding developing Steve and Bucky's friendship, proved to be one of the albatrosses around The Winter Soldier's neck. Civil War is a lot of fun, but even then I also view it as much of an Avengers movie as it is a Cap film.

So yeah. Easy pick for me.

Cap started strong (just as strong as Begins) and got better every time. TDK is probably the best movie overall, but Rises was a massive letdown. Cap wins easily.

Didnt we have this poll like 2 days after civil war came out?

Batman Begins > The First Avenger
The Dark Knight > The Winter Soldier
The Dark Knight Rises < Civil War

1. The Dark Knight
2. Civil War
3. The Winter Soldier
4. Batman Begins
5. The Dark Knight Rises
6. The First Avenger

So yes, I would put the Dark Knight trilogy ahead but certainly not by a huge margin.

Begins is much better than both CW and TWS.
1. TDK
2. Begins
3. TWS
4. CW
5. TFA
6. Rises
