Beware the Batman - Part 1

Probably they realized that CN had changed its committment to it earlier and that the show wasn't likely to make it past a first season.

It's still shocking that even Batman can't outlive CN execs.

HAHAHAHA, remember how the show was supposed to come back this month?

God, what a great start for this year!

Even Batman cant save a crap show.

Hmm...

Beware the Batman OR

Teen Titans Go!
Ultimate Spider-man
Avengers Assemble
Hulk and the Agents of Smash

Up against it's contemporaries, BTB is in a league of its own.

Teen Titans Go! is a great show.

I don't really like the look and style of the show. Won't really miss it when its gone.

The DC shows that have been in CG so far just looked bad.
Ditto. I prefer traditional animation. Feels weird as Hell for 2of my favorite heroes (Spiderman/Bats) to have shows that I don't care about

I love Teen Titans Go! But it's not fair to compare it to BTB, two different styles, tones, and audiences.

....but at least TTG! got renewed!

Beware the Batman was a subpar, mediocre Batman series.

It tried to do some things different, but there were no familiar characters.

Turning Alfred into Jason Statham was also terrible.

To me the lack of enthusiasm among the creative team was prevalent at SDCC 2013.

That was one warning sign that this show was doomed to fail. That and/or they knew it was a dead duck.

The designs alone let me know the show was destined to be short lived.

Statham Pennyworth....*vomits*. Unforgivable, Murakami! ****ING UNFORGIVEABLE

That sucks but I'm not completely surprised by now that even this month the network has nothing to say about BTB. Cartoon Network can be keep peddling their toddler garbage but if anything I hope the new BTB episodes if anything else they show up on-demand VOD or on Netflix or something.

You mean Glen Murakami.

James Tucker has nothing to do with this series. He wanted to do a Batman: No Man's Land type show...

People still judging about Alfred Pennyworth? Sheesh!

Also Teen Titans Go is great, it's not as great as Adventure Time or Regular Show, but it's a pleasure to watch.

How was that Iron Man/Hulk animated movie, by the way? :cwink:

It tried to do some things different, but there were no familiar characters.

Batman, Alfred, and the Gordons had their similar relationships and characterization. They have some different twists, but Alfred is still a father surrogate to Bruce, Gordon is a reluctant ally to Batman, Barbara is a smart girl that looks up to Batman and her father, etc.

Turning Alfred into Jason Statham was also terrible.

Now you know how I felt when Marvel Animation turned my favorite Marvel hero into a one-dimensional, jerkish blockhead with a shrill voice.

I rather enjoyed Iron Man/Hulk: Heroes United and thought it was pretty good... especially the portrayal of the Hulk, though as usual, Tony/Iron Man was his usual occasional horse's ass...

but other that, I was surprised that I DID like it...

That's good for you. But kids wanted to see the Joker, Catwoman, Robin, etc. Bane would've been nice. Also, this version of Alfred didn't work at all.

I also hated MTV Spider-Man.

*sniff* We came this close to having Cass animated but nooooo:waa:

Wasn't keen on Teen Titans (Robin's voice put me off it entirely) and damn well wasn't keen on BTB. Glen, you're not Bruce so stop already!

It was a poorly executed show.

How so?

Kids at Comic-Con were asking the creators where all the major characters were. They didn't like it.

Again, what does that have to do with anything when CN was already keeping the show invisible from the audience?

I mean, Marvel Animation's latest efforts have been ratings failures that are constantly behind other programming at XD, but you don't see me try to constantly rub it in in their threads to justify my bias.
