I watched the first 6 episodes, which I think is a fair amount to give it a chance to succeed.

Didn't live up to my expectations at all, which is really too bad because I'm curious to know what this show cost to produce, and then to look at what GL:TAS or even Young Justice cost to produce...I bet we could have had another season at the expense of this show.

It's all toys man. Marketing, profit, and toys. I listened to a podcast with Tara Strong and she explained all of CN's philosophy and why certain cartoons get canned and whatnot.

It just all comes down to toys. Their new trend is developing just goofy nonsensical series ala Adventure Time and Regular Show (which are actually good) hence the birth of Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa (Also see MAD and Gumball). Hence why the new Teen Titans series has become so friggen cutesy and silly.

There's no room for a serious brooding Batman show midst all these random silly cartoons. So they dump it regardless of quality.

USM and Hulk may be lackluster mindless shows but kids will buy the hell out of those toys simply because it's Spidey and Hulk.

THIS Batman show, I guess, doesn't have the appeal.

There was a really poor attempt at one

-One DC 6 inch figure

- Some figures someone mentioned at a McDonalds in singapore or something like that

I'm conflicted, i want to support this show with my 2 cents, but i do despise volume blu-rays, but what are the actually chances we will ever get a full season 1 blu-ray out of THIS show?

I think the hopes of getting the full season on Blu is now pretty slim.

NO new episodes of Beware the Batman are scheduled for February:

Cartoon Network has provided The World’s Finest with programming details for the month of February 2014, and once again, new episodes of Beware The Batman are absent from the schedule.

When asked for a statement, a representative for Cartoon Network would only say that there are future plans for Beware The Batman.

This of course means that episodes 12 & 13 (Attraction and Fall) will indeed premiere on DVD/Blu-ray. This will be a first for DC Animation.

You might remember ''The Mask of Matches Malone'' but that was a censor issue and it did manage to premiere in other countries before it's DVD release. It also managed to get the distinction of a ''Lost Episode''.

The fate of the final 13 episodes will be interesting... surely CN will burn them off before their DVD release.

Except, you know, it actually was good. Not Batman: TAS quality, but at least decent.

Maybe better than the rest of the crap animation that DC &Marvel are putting out right now, but I still wouldn't call it good. I imagine it was also very expensive to produce. The quality of the show is debatable, but it's death is not. Instead of dwelling on the past, I'll look forward to a traditionally animated series. This would also be a good time for WB/DC to give another character a show. Batman is awesome, but there are other characters to be used

I imagine it cost a little bit more for Beware the Batman as Murakami was experimenting with the boundries of CGI quite a bit.

Seriously this must have been some contract agreement by CN/WB.

It was probably dead in the water from the start but CN/WB needed to air the episodes as per an agreement of some kind.

Cartoon Network was already moving away from serious DC cartoon material to teen titans go!

The DVD is out NOW at Walmart. I just got my copy and watched the last two episodes of the first half of the season. I'll post my thoughts later.

Here are my thoughts on the episodes:

"Attraction": It's an adequate sequel to Magpie's previous episode. She was still a fascinating villain and was even more vicious than in her last appearance. Her trying to bury Katana alive was creepy. Also, too bad Lunkhead's rehabilitation didn't stick. I did think they were too on the nose about the comparison between Batman and Magpie and how they lose themselves in the darkness. Though I liked the Harvey Dent mention in the news ticker, it did bother me how Arkham was spelt as "Arkum".

"Fall": This one was much better. The payoff from the Ion Cortex and Soultaker Sword plots. My favorite part was Alfred's flashbacks to his younger days as an MI6 agent and as young Bruce's caretaker. Ra's al Ghul was fine, but his voice was weird. Not as ill-fitting as his Arkham City voice, but still weird. It's implied that Alfred killed Tatsu's dad in self-defense, and though I highly doubt he actually did, it would be an interesting road to take, considering his stand on keeping secrets in "Secrets". Jason died as well, which I actually don't mind too much, since his relationship with Tatsu was a bit forced. It did lead to one hell of a cliffhanger, and I hope Cartoon Network resumes the series ASAP for the resolution.

Love the suit and the show. Easily my second favorite version of Batman behind BTAS but if it was given the amount of episodes that had. I think it could be equal to it. It was already better than the later seasons

I love this shows take on Magpie. She's such a cool/fun/creepy villain. I'd love for her to be reintroduced in the New 52 comics based off of this version. The show is good, but CN has proven that they simply don't support DC shows unless their purely "comedic" like Teen Titans Go! BTW, that show is no funny.

Bottom line is that WB doesn't have anywhere near the amount of money Disney has. That's why they'll never be on even footing when it comes to pushing out their respective franchises throughout various forms of media.

I don't know. DC/WB could potentially have as many as 8 live-action shows based on their comic properties on-air next TV season.
