Beware the Batman - Part 1

So, people that have bought the season pass on iTunes have mentioned that they are getting refunds on the incomplete season. Looks like CN REALLY wants the show dead and buried.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled rank and got New Zealand to pull it off the air when they heard they aired new episodes.

Let's hope a dvd set with the whole season will soon be released. I still can't believe they cancel such an interesting and ambitious show.

because Cartoon Network is run by morons

Young Justice, Green Lantern, and now Beware the Batman :cmad:

They are morons. Cant even use the toys not selling excuse because there were no toys for any of these shows.

Great... except it's on Amazon Prime, which isn't so great. Even with all 26 episodes of Beware the Batman, I still don't want to join that service.

I guess this means Cartoon Network UK didn't want the series either. A shame really.

The episode descriptions alone sound incredibly exciting!

On the other hand

-Young justice- Twenty dollars for a few 6 inch figures and moderate sized toyline.

Parent's really can't afford 20 dollar figures and with all the hiatus Young Justice had it faded out of the kids minds

Beware the batman- ONE FIGURE. ONE FIGURE. Other Batman related toylines were out already

Green Lantern- Stuff was still left over from the 2011 movie and it was peg warming.

Cartoon merchandise probably wouldn't sell well

So Young Justice was the only time someone tried

Part of me is happy the show is dead. When you screw up Anarchy and Harvey Dent that bad, you don't deserve a second season. Still, that doesn't excuse the CN execs. Is anything on DC Nation still even new anymore?

Good news that it's coming to Toonami, but it's a shame they are dumping it in the 3AM slot.

I honestly think the show is better suited for Toonami anyway.

While i agree with you on Anarky, what makes you think Harvey Dent got screwed?

This version of Gotham doesn't have any classic mobsters left, just freaks.

Just wanted to drop in and say CN is really stupid. I know we've all heard this before, but really...
They jack around with the schedules of good action cartoons and then can them when they get bad ratings.
That's some overly transparent self-sabotage.

Considering the combination of too many changes (i.e. Statham Pennyworth, the Morrison baddies, Katana as a sidekick) and who was running CN at the time, BtB was doomed from the start

Changes that WB/CN happily greenlit themselves... so thats faulty logic to begin with.

These changes were meant to give the lower tier characters a chance to shine although I don't agree with some of their adjustments I can see their logic.

Pennyworth being younger and more involved makes sense in they want this to be a "just starting out" Batman, not a veteran. I also believe his origins even in the comics were as a spy. Katana as a sidekick was fine although I think she was introduced as such poorly. We don't always need a Robin/Nightwing or Batgirl/Oracle sidekick even if Barbara kind-of-sort-of did the Oracle bit.

The best Batman is solo Batman.
The next best Batman is Batman with assistance from Oracle.
I'm not really into Batman needing direct help out in the field, except rarely. That said I like Katana more than the Robins.

Then you will like some of the later episodes.
