Question, I'm not too familiar with Black Panther's mythology but if his costume is made completely of vibranium (the same substance used for Captain America's shield) then does that make him impervious to any and all attacks? And if that is the case, wouldn't that make him pretty much unbeatable within the MCU since Cap's shield was strong enough to withstand a blow from Thor's hammer).
Note that in the comics, vibranium does *not* have the same properties as in the movies. Its not the stuff Cap's shield is made of, nor Ultron, etc. On its own, its "merely" a metal that absorbs energy in various ways.
T'Challa's costume, post-Priest at least, has a "vibranium weave" in it, which basically grants considerable ( but *not* infinite, not nearly so ) durability against most forms of physical and energy attacks. The downside is:
1. There's usually some leak through, so big attacks may be survivable, but they still hurt
2. Sufficiently clever attacks may bypass it entirely, like properly positioned knife cuts, or energy attacks more sophisticated than "generic force blast"
Basically, the suit is a way for him to fight outside his weight class and not immediately die, mostly. He still needs skill and gadgets to turn that into actual victories.
Now, the movie version is obviously up for grabs, but it seems to mostly follow this idea. Ordinary bullets just bounce off, but serious or exotic attacks, he can't just tank on his face.
