Such a low number so I'd easily take the over.Over/Under 1.5 the times Chesterfield ends up crying the first time he watches this movie.
Could potentially hinder him both critically (in terms of judging Jordan's performance) and as a reason why people aren't interested in seeing it.
I'm wondering if that would have been better served for the sequel or just save the costume reveal for the movie.
I still think ultimately the execution will be what matters most. Creed is many ways was a Rocky remake, but it was directed so damn well. So even if this is just a hero/villain mirror again I have faith the execution will be better than other Marvel films.
Just hope people have an open mind about it.
Wakanda Week on @JimmyKimmelLive all next week.
Might have to watch Kimmel next week since it's "Wakanda Week" on his show with the cast from Black Panther.

Just checked out the Jimmy Kimmel Live! schedule website; Chadwick Boseman is due for Monday night as the 'main' guest (probably gonna touch upon the newly-released reviews), then Danai Gurira on Wednesday as aforementioned (second guest), and Lupita Nyong'o is the 'main' guest for Thursday. Friday is officially "TBD".
I saw Daniel Kaluuya on one of the late night talk shows last week (Colbert's thing, I think) but he wasn't on for Black Panther.
Its Monday at 7 I believe. If reviews come out on Monday, when will that screening air? If so, I assume Fallon and others would see the movie then.

Kimmel doesn't do new shows on Friday so the TBD is them likely waiting to release which rerun they'll be showing that day.Just checked out the Jimmy Kimmel Live! schedule website; Chadwick Boseman is due for Monday night as the 'main' guest (probably gonna touch upon the newly-released reviews), then Danai Gurira on Wednesday as aforementioned (second guest), and Lupita Nyong'o is the 'main' guest for Thursday. Since Marvel typically holds their premieres just down the street from Kimmel's studio, Boseman will likely be headed for or just back from the premiere. If Boseman's the guest Monday Night I assume that Kimmel may have seen the movie already.
There's been nothing confirmed but do you think they'll screen the movie tomorrow for select critics and media?
Sometimes a movie screens before its premiere.
On the subject of the actual movie.......
Will Klaue or Kilmonger likely survive this movie or will we see then killed off like so many adversaries? I am still forlornly hoping for some kind of villain team-up and there is still after 17 movies hardly a half dozen left alive.
Have Jordan or Serkis hinted at a return?
I hope Klaue appears to "die" in this film, much like he did at the end for FF53 - and then returns in the future as the Sonic villainous master of sound KLAW as in FF 56!

I've gotta say, not to get into the whole tech-y debate, but of all the Wakandan groups I am loving the look of that mountain tribe a lot more than the others.
It's not a tech thing, just an "African" thing, wish there was a bit more of a leaning into the cool African imagery (while retaining all the tech stuff - goes for the city itself too, I'm just not loving all that shiney-glass-skyscraper stuff). Sounds sort of cheesy to say, but I was hopong for like...I don't know, Coming To America played serious or whatever. We're getting some of that, and what we are getting is awesome. Just wish there was a little more of how Whittaker's & Bassett's characters look, as opposed to all the shiney metallic armor/clothing stuff.
Nitpicks, though.
Also haven't gone back to look over the last version of this thread, what's the flashback stuff people are mentioning? Klaue's first encounter in-country before Age Of Ultron? That sounds pretty sweet.
Also, first impressions/reactions are two days away. Anxiety rising.
