I was just using Lee as an example of non-american people in american comic book character movies. Yes Hulk sucked massive which is a shame because it could have been one of the great comic franchises, up there with Spider-Man, X-Men and even Batman and Superman.

Lol, I agree. And I was only joking:up::)

I believe they're going right into pre-production after Nolan and Bale and Caine finish the Prestige.

Pre production is farther then what people think it is!!!!!! I mean this is WB's baby for 2008

I can't believe I missed 9 whole pages of thread.

I thought eccleston was the new conternder but it says that the person was named for another role in the sequel and ecclseston has only been mentioned for Joker!!!!!!

yeah. Well if thats the case then it would seem that it would have to be either Law or Gyllenhaal correct?

Does anyone here know how to spell Eccleston's name?

I didn't until I just looked it up

Well, Law and Gyllenhall would be the most obvious choices. Law has been talked about for either Dent or Joker for a while now... As for the frontrunner who may be no longer in the mix for Joker, it might be Bettany, cuz the talk in recent days is Hulme is a favorite.

I realy doubt Bettany is out man, I'm telling you this is still a Bettany/Hulme race!!!!!!!!

Wouldnt Jude Law be considered a "big name"? I thought they were against that.

Maybe WB did the right thing and let go of Hulme as a candidate

that's funny lol, thanks for that!!!! I was having a bad say.

That's just not even true. Out of the comic movies since 2000 I put it in a close 6th behind Begins, the 2 Spideys and the 2 X-Mens. It was way better than Daredevil ever even tried to be. (I'm not even going to mention Elektra or the travesty that was F4...somehow they got a franchise out of that) and if you ask me Hulk was way better than the old Superman movies.

What about Catwoman? That should be on the top of your list.

God I forgot that even happened.

Well, I never saw it, so I can't judge :p

Having seen the director´s cut of Daredevil, I strongly disagree. The rest of what you put below it - well, considering only superhero movies - is so bad it doesn´t need to be great to outperform it... Your last line, if you ask me, is blasphemy...

Wat Hulk lacked the most to me is care factor. I know Banner is a man with issues, but Lee´s version is so alienated he´s a borderline sociopath... Look how Bill Bixby played the character in the TV show´s pilot, you see the character´s angst and bad temper, but he´s also human and sympathetic. That´s where I think is one of BB´s greatest triumphs: to make a Bruce Wayne the audience emotionally connected to and sympathized with without losing his dark edge.

Good point. Basically its either Jake Gyllenhall or Guy Pearce who's in. But i's still prefer Chris Eccleston over all.:)

what?!? hulme is not out and he's said to be a frontrunner!

Have you ever seen Daredevil Director's cut, it's a much better movie and ranks higher then the first Xmen IMO.

As for that last line, I'll pretend you didn't write that.

Option A: You must be one of those guys who can't enjoy an old classic without a buttload of CGI(cartoony goofy images) in it.

Option B: You've never even watched Superman I or II before in your life

Option C: Someone has hacked your account

So which is it?

I found Bana/Lee's Banner very relatable. I never watched Incredible Hulk the show religously, When I see it I enjoy it but I never found "David" Banner all that interesting. I did like that he was kind of a drifter, though. And you can tell from the ending that if there had been a sequel to Lee's Hulk they would have incorporated that element.

Also notice I also said "close" 6th place. Depending on my mood I would often prefer to watch Hulk over X-Men or Spidey at times.

PS. The DD director's cut is way overhyped and not even that good. It is better than the TC, but adds very little to the story/character development.

See prev. post.

Not true. I found Hackman's portrayal of Luthor painfully campy, Reeve, while good, was also corny. Lois was pretty terrible in those movies. I did, however, really enjoy the evil plot in the first one.

Option B: You've never even watched Superman I or II before in your life
I have only seen like the first half of II. A flaw, I know, I'll watch it again soon.

I can definitely accept your opinion and atleast you can backup what you say unlike Super Ludacris

And what about option C :p

It's my Big Bad Harv side, I guess.

Funny thing about DD: I'm kind of on the fence about how I feel about that movie. Usually when people bash it I defend it and when people praise it I hate on it.

There was none in many blockbusters of 2005.

Goblet of Fire
Chronicles of Narnia
War of The Worlds
Chocolate Factory

etc

All of which made more then Batman Begins in the BO.

none of those films were better than Begins though...and Goblet of Fire was pretty good though....
