Guy Pearce fails to excite me.

I fear he'll come off as "a-hole Dent"

The Harvey Dent in "year one" as well as in "the Long Halloween" is an a-hole. So if they go by those references then Pierce would be right on the money.

Maybe.

I read Long Halloween Dent not as an a-hole, but bitter and driven, and a bit coarse. He's got a good core. If Pearce plays him like he played Mondego, I wouldn't like it.

funny . . . I was thinking about the Dent role this weekend and Guy Pearce popped in my head . . . . but then I dismissed the notion, as it pretty much seemed like he was out of the running . . . . I won't give credit to my "psychic abilities" this time cuz it didn't work for my feelings on Hulme, obviously (Although Heath Ledger has the same initials when transposed). Basically, I'm just rambling now . . . . but in closing, I would like Pierce in the role, but am quite unsure of the likelihood of that happening; I think this might just be another curve ball to draw attention away from other candidates . . . .

btw dudes . . . it's Pearce, ain't it!? don't feel bad . . . I just edited my own post

anyhoo . . . Ronny, I think Pearce could totally do it; I don't know how you feel about the whole Mondego thing, but I think his most exemplary Dentdom can be evidenced by his role in LA Confidential . . .

...Which I haven't seen. So, yeah. Don't listen to me.

Good one....I get it. LOL.. Yeah...it seems like whatever Jett says when it comes to casting rumors.....usually turns out WAY inaccurate.
How many San Diego folks do you think post on the hype forum?

It would be kinda tricky getting Guy to do Harvey because then he would have to commit to being the major villian in the third also.

that, and he played a similar type role in LA Confidential. the only way I could see Guy wanting to do the film is because he wanted to do Two Face.

and I mean . . . . who DOESN'T want to do Two-Face . . . he's so sexy that I'd hit it allllllll night long :D

LOL, DV8 you are deranged.........

I for one hope Pearce wants to do it and Nolan finally decides to cast him.

EDIT: Wow, I finally make it to 1,000 posts. I feel more geeky now and everything.

Truer words have never been spoke, my friend.

We love him anyway.

^^awwww . . . you guys really care *sniffle*

this thread needs some redirection . . . . HULME BEEYITCHES!!

^not what I was aiming for, but hey . . . I would be satisfied if Hulme was cast as a bat-dance performer . . . .

HE11S YEAH-UH!! keep the stache too ;)

I still think it would've been great to have Bettany as Joker and Hulme as his first victim, whoever that may be. A cop, a bank customer, whatever.
