Nolan, or someone probibally saw him in something (Matrix, Four Jacks most likely) and saw something in him they they liked.

Jett said "frontrunners" not "front runner" So frontrunners would imply both of them.

what about Robert Costanzo, I mean not only does he look the part, but the best part of it is that he provided the voice for Bullock in the animated series.

coulden't find any good pic of him thought this is the best I could find.

Thats a good one. Certainly looks the part and has got the perfect Bullock voice. I don't see why not

It doesn't say one of them isn't interested in the part anymore. That was just specualtion by Jett and he said that maybe the Bat-folks aren't interested in him anymore.

IF it is Hulme that is out, then I would bet that he did have a screentest, and it didn't go well at all, not that he didn't want the part.

Good point. This role would be his big break into Hollywood, he'd be stupid to pass it up IMO.

I don't think Hulme is out until Jett says his name. And Jett definitely would have known about a screen test if it's happened yet so I don't think so. And Nolan is still working on the Prestiege right now.

Jett has reported on the rumor of a screentest for Hulme though. Also, Jett made a statement about how the sequel is much farther along than we realize. I wouldn't be surprised if Nolan has had at least a few screentests (even though he isn't there, he could watch the videos and maybe Jonah or someone else he trusts is there).

I agree that I am not declaring who I think it is until Jett confirms it, That is why I think he is asking his other sources to confirm whoever it might be and holding off on the name until it is confirmed.

All the article says this that one of the frontrunners MAY not be in the mix anymore. And Jett only guesses two of the most obivious senarios, He's not interested or the team are into interested. Too maybe maybes for anything concrete. Let's wait until Jett can give us some more info.

I'm really starting to think it's Law that's moved into contention for the Joker role. Let's examine the evidence:

1. When Law's name came up, Jett "assumed" it was in reference to the Harvey Dent role. If you read around the boards here, however, a lot of fans agreed Law was likely a candidate for Joker and Jett simply let a personal casting opinion overshadow the story that Jude Law was up for a role. Now, we're hearing an actor that was rumored for another role is up for Joker.

Chances are, Jude Law has always been in contention for the Joker. The fact that he was rumored for Dent only came from Jett's imagination.


I mean, look at the guy. Does he look more like Dent, or The Joker?

And if you read carefully, DeFett, my statement simply make it clear that it could just as easily be Hulme who's out, as Bettany. No assumptions are useful here.

I think they want to start filming this winter, but I might be wrong on that.
