Superman Returns Bosworth nominated for a Razzie WTF?!?

Yeah putting her son in danger for a story is good writing. You would think a Pulitzer Prize winner would have more sense. :cwink: She only brought the kid because the writers needed the kid to "reveal the big secret". Poorly done period.

She didn't know she was putting Jason in danger. By the time she realizes that it was a bad idea, it's too late. The boat is off and Lex Luthor makes his entrance.

You do realize it is illegal to leave your child in a car by themselves, don't you? And besides, she didn't know that she was putting him in danger until she found out it was Lex Luthor's yacht.

And her sneaking onto a yacht is legal??? :o And where in Columbus by the way?

She was SNEAKING INTO A KNOWN CRIMINALS YACHT. How is that not dangerous? But okay whatever. I am not changing how I feel about it...haha.

For all she knew it was the Vanderworth's yacht. Luthor's name wasn't on the mansion or the yacht.

Nope, but leaving her son in the car is just as bad.

I live on the west side of Columbus. :)

She should have just left the kid with Grandpa Perry but like I said it was written with the whole purpose of revealing "teh super k!d" and they ended up making her looking dumb at least to me and many others.

I am on the southside by the way.

But she was also trying to do the EMP story behind Perry's back. Taking the kid to Grandpa Perry and leaving again would have given it away. Plus she might have been late for her own award. :)

I used to live on the south end, way back when. Off of Parsons on E. Jenkins Avenue. :)

Call it what you want, the fact remains that Jason killed a man! That's just stupid writing. There're lots of other ways to show his powers than ending someones life! :o :whatever:

I´ll remember that if you ever have to kill someone to live, let´s see if your moral code will be that rigid...

She was SNEAKING INTO A KNOWN 90 YEAR OLD WOMANS YACHT. I'm not going to bother trying to change your mind, but at least have the facts straight.

Even Superman didn't like the idea of Lois bringing Jason on the boat! :woot:

As far as Kate Bosworth's take on Lois Lane, Cain had this to say:
Teri's Lois had a hard exterior with a real soft interior. The whole thing with Lois having a child (a 5-year-old son, Jason) in the film was a little unsettling. I have a child (Christopher Dean Cain, 6) and that changes things. Lois Lane is always going to be an intrepid reporter, but I would never bring my child to a place where he could possibly get in danger — yet she does, which was kind of surprising.

Regardless...she is SNEAKING and SNOOPING around ILLEGALLY with her son. Your telling me you would do all of the above with your child?

Common practice: You knock on the door of someones house. No one answers. You hear somebody walking around in tha garage, so you walk over to the garage, indentify yourself and proceed with whatever your doing.

Now apply this to SR, you'd like to talk to a 90 year old woman, who is a friendly person by public reputation (She gave Luthor a second chance at life did she not?), ask two or three questions. Now you ring the doorbell, no one answers. But behind you, you hear somebody in the yacht. OK, it's likely to be Gerturde or a butler. You go, indetify yourself and proceed with whatever your doing.

As far as taking my child with me goes. I would NEVER, EVER, leave my child by itself locked in my car, not only is it stupid, there's laws against it.

Also, not related to the arguement. I'm three times the size of Kate Bosworth, I don't mean to sound like a *****e, but I think I could kick Kevin Spacey's ass.

Wasn't it known that the lady had died, though?

Depends. She didn't die all that long before Lois went to the property (a week or two at most). Besides, the woman had plenty of people who could have been heirs to her fortune. Usually the results of the Last Will and Testament aren't made public (well...unless we're talking Anna Nicole Smith/very old Texas Oil husband anyway ;) ), so Lex Luthor owning everything wouldn't be common knowledge.

Yeah I can see that. I just figured that the death of what seemed like a major Metropolis socialite and leaving her fortune to such a well-known criminal (much to the openly-expressed chagrin of her family) would've been fast news, unless Luthor killed'em all or something.

The child shouldn't have been there in the ****ing first place which is my whole point but whatever. It seems you guys are stretching and really trying to validate it. I am done arguing it people either love it or hate it and I just hate. Shame on Singer and the writers. Hopefully with the sequel he will stop piggybacking off Donner and make his own film because I really want to see a Singer Superman film.

Batman Begins is my favorite film but if Holmes character had a kid and she brought him to the Narrows with her to give Gordon the antidote I would be pissed the same way. It is stupid.

She didnt have time to drop Jason off, she was on her way to the Pulitzer and Jason was going with her. To drop him off, go to the house and then pick him up again to go to the Pulitzer would have made her late. But going to the house with Jason, asking the owners a few question then leaving wouldnt have made her late.

What the hell does that have to do with 3 Hollywood writers having no other idea to introduce a Superkid in a Superman comicbook movie then to have him kill someone???

Really, funny how you guys like to call others "haters" and talk about "spin" but make it yourself whenever it fits your view! :whatever:

The only fact I'm pointing out is that the whole scene is poor writing, nothing more.

Watch "Heroes" - Episode 1, the cliffhanger in the end. THAT is how you make an impact by revealing someone has a power. And he didn't even have to kill someone ...

I'm sorry but if someon was going to kill my mother, i would kill them in a heartbeat.

So if someone's trying to kill your mother, you're just gonna stand there and let her try to defend herself.

Kate should not be nomintated for a Razzie because of the writing or direction. If Singer wasn't happy with her portrayle of Lois he should have said so.

The scene makes an excellent point to show how dangerous Superman´s powers can be if you can´t controll them. Now it´s second nature to Supes, but it couldn´t have been easy to learn how to hug people without breaking them in two, things like that, and now Jason has to go through it, gift and curse, etc.

Then that's the price you pay for being a mom, it's called sacrifice. Child's safety first, always, which means going home, NOT LEAVING HIM IN THE CAR ALONE, as some people may think I or RedIsNotBlue is suggesting. And I would have been totally fine if it was Lois with Jason just ringing the bell to the house, but it was the sneaking around/trespassing with a child that calls into question Lois' character.
