Thought:

Cap was awesome and a big jolt of momentum for the storyline. The Iron Man/Bucky fight does not disappoint. It takes up the majority of the issue and Tony proves that he's got balls and holds his ground. He convinces Buck that if they kill each other,Steve would be disappointed.Tony gives Buck the letter to read.Tony asks Buck who else would carry on the legacy.Buck agrees but under the condition that he answers to nobody and that SHIELD remove all the tech in his head.Ladies and gents,we have our new Cap.The final page has SHIELD working on Buck. The art team of Guice/Epting is a perfect match.

Thor also kicks things into high gear with some nice Kirby styled/epic fight scenes between Thor and The Destroyer. All of the Asgardians are finally awoken, along with Loki who vows he is a new man.But his deal with Doom shows otherwise.Nice happy ending with the Asgardians attending the town meeting. The body of the Destroyer goes missing.Coipel turns in some gorgeous looking fight scenes here and JMS' looks to be on point.

The Knaufs continue their highly overlooked run on Shellhead. After another vision of a dead friend,Saul, meeting up at a diner with Dugan and more investigative digging,Tony is convinced that the people going missing are all being used for experimenting and all have similarities in their DNA.However, everyone is soon notified of Stark's presence in Omaha thanks to Kooning,Samson and Ultra are notified as well.Tony finally gets a hold of his old school armor just when he's attacked by an Extremis-fueled big man.Samson and Ultra arrive on the scene to help out Shellhead and are finally convinced of his claims. This is one of Marvel's most underrated books,if you love Cap right now, this is the book for you.The Knaufs totally get Tony's character and everything that makes him cool.Espionage, politics, evil corporations, and superheroes...what's not to love?Pick this up!

Sounds awesome!

How would you guys feel if Bucky does indeed become the new Captain America....permanently?

That the most capable person for the job wasn't selected.

Why is the comic industry the only media that can't get their product out on time when there is a friggin' holiday? DVDs, books, video games, and such all get released on time. (Heck, most of this week's DVDs even were released early.)

The reason is because there's one single distributer in comics. If they go on vacation, the industry goes on vacation.

It's what DC should have done a long time ago with Batman & Dick Grayson. :brucebat:

This is Uh-merica, goddammit. We should get our books before those *****-foot Canucks. :cmad:

Hawkeye, Falcon, pretty much ANYBODY else.

pretty lame list.

hawkeye is a definite no, i never saw him as a replacement. falcon? no not really he'll be out of place. so all in all you never had a good excuse for any of these to be the new cap.

buck is where its at.

Hawkeye would make for a Captain America most similar to Steve, in my opinion. Clint's about as close to Steve's level of athleticism as one can get and the only other person besides Steve to master the shield as an offensive weapon. The only problem with Clint actually taking up the mantle is that he would never, ever do it, even if he wants to.

Bucky, on the other hand, would definitely make for a "new" Captain America. One that is similar to Steve Rogers in name and color scheme only. I'm not opposed to it. In fact, Bucky is the only person I'd want to see take of the role. For as perfect a fit as Clint might be, it just wouldn't be as exciting as seeing the Winter Soldier turn Captain America.

I meant in being the role of Cap that Steve himself was.

Hawkeye would probably be as close to Steve out of pretty much everybody involved.

Bucky is more...bloodthirsty. :o

Yeah, that's pretty much what I said. But I wouldn't say that Bucky is more bloodthirsty, per se. He's got himself under control.

What the hell's Boxing Day?

Boxing Day is a public holiday celebrated in the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand and Australia and many other members of the Commonwealth of Nations on December 26, the day after Christmas Day...

Boxing Day is a traditional celebration, dating back to the Middle Ages, and consists of the practice of giving out gifts to employees, the poor, or to people in a lower social class.

Personally, I just enjoy the day off after stuffing myself with turkey.

And I also enjoy seeing mothers (and fathers) of new-borns getting 12 months of maternity leave instead of the 6 weeks that American moms are entitled... :whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

And WE also get our comics on time. :word:

I LOVE CANADA!!!

:yay:

see your talking in ability sure he'll make a good cap, but hawkeye isn't a leader nor a tactician. personality wise cap, is something clint can never portray properly. he just doesn't have what takes to be cap.

bucky can stand on his own and he has steve's memory as a moral compass, he's a leader and tactian,he's been on the battlefield. the man is a patriot just like his best friend. it's pretty natural for buck to be the new cap.

That's a joke, right?

Bucky's moral compass is a little skewed at the moment. And how is a he good leader? If anything, he's a loner.

no it's not a joke. buck is a world war vet and fought besides captain america during the war holding his own.how can he not be a leader?

Uh...because he was following Cap's lead. Being a soldier doesn't necessarily translate into being a good leader.
