Bought/Thought May 7th, 2008

You don't see Dan Slott or Matt Fraction having some godly knowledgable character look at their own creations and go, "you're going to be one of the GREATS" in so many words. McDuffie did that for Gravity in FF and BEYOND!, but that wasn't his own character (McKeever created him). No, only Bendis has the inflated ego to do that, consistently, for any character he creates or happens to "love", like Cage or Drew.

Do you even realise the appalling double standard in this paragraph?

Once again you're looking for a reason to ***** :(

I thought that there was a connection between Zatanna's father and Thomas Wayne... I seem to recall some stories from the early 70's (may have been Earth-2 Bats)... one of those 100 page JLA specials that had filler stories...

:csad:

If there is, The Internets and I are not aware of it. v:Ov It's really not as if Thomas Wayne had that many appearances in the silver age..

Most links between Zatanna and Batman have been made retroactivly.

I believe it was actually Dini who started it - in TAS.

Did anyone else find Fractions use of "...The Iron Man" all the time annoying?

Stop flirting with me.

Or get me drunk.

Either way.

(regardless from his review I think dread liked the issue more than I did, but it really would require you thinking before hitting the reply button.)

I don't think I am, at least not in this regard. I haven't seen Fraction or Slott have some established character with mythical knowledge automatically brag about how great their creations are. Bendis ALWAYS seems to do this for either his creations or some C-Lister that he loves.

Of course, it is established that I have a Bendis-Bias. I almost get angrier when he writes something that ISN'T complete crap these days. But I thought I saw a trend.

I liked it more than MOON KNIGHT. :o

(I was like, kidding about that there kool-aid reference.)

NO one should drink Kool-Aid. It's awful!

Oh, and is it me, or do we have FOUR Captain Americas running around now?

1) Bucky
2) Skrull Cap
3) Invaders Cap
4) Skrull Might-Be-Real-Cap

Wait...what?

1) He's in the regular Cap book.
2) Where's he?
3) Obviously in Avengers/Invaders
4) He's in Secret Invasion

Where's the Skrull-Cap?

Quick Superman question...

...since The Last Son arc as been going on forever .....I have no idea where in continuity it fits.....is Chris Kent "currently" missing in the Phantom zone being sought out by Monel??.....or is Action Annual 11 and the Last Son of Krypton arc just seriously behind the current mainstream Supes stories?
