Only problem i have with it, is that it doesn't remind me of Atom at all.
Personally I think it looks fantastic and a hell of a lot better than the comic version.
That makes the most sense.Yeah, I don't think Ray had practical "hand-to-hand" fighting in mind, when he created the suit.
I'm assuming that he (naively) thought that by wearing some body armor and possessing the ability to shoot out lasers from his hands, it would give him an edge when out in the field.
The problem is though, on a realistic basis, in order to fully compensate for his inability to fight, let alone to move around as a proficient fighter in that armor, his WHOLE body would need to be covered up like Iron Man's suit...but it isn't.
A good sharp shooter or a barrage of gunfire would easily get him wounded in his blind spots.
Well, I'm hoping that they'll modify his outfit when he appears in the "Brave and the Bold" style spin-off; particularly in a way where it'll be more sleeker and less bulky like it is now, while ditching the metallic looking strings that he has all over his suit.
Why? it's just another overly techy Iron Man rip-off. It's hardly better, just different.
Better than spandex. And Iron Man wasn't the first person to wear an armored suit...it's not like it's an original concept.
OI.
NOBODY said anything about Spandex. That's only something people like you who disrespect the source material drag out when you want to criticize a more faithful approach to a costume...
Alsop, so maybe Iron Man isn't the first powered armored superhero (Show me the first one). That still doesn't mean this Atom suit isn't still a ripoff
We get it. High tech suits look like other high tech suits. Unless humans suddenly evolve into a different shape, there's only so much you can do differentiate.
Shrinking will come. In the same way Barry wasn't running on water and Firestorm isn't transmuting things right out of the gate. It's an origin for the character before they get their own thing.
