Breaking Bad - Part 10

Yeah it was all definitely an improvisation on Walt's part. I'm not even sure Skyler was reading between the lines with the phone call. All in all a very tragic situation.

Jesse tried to tell them. "You two guys... are just guys, okay? Mr. White... he's the devil. He's smarter than you. He's luckier than you."

I don't know when the last time was that I was so happy to see end credits. I could breathe again. Jesus, Gilligan.

To anyone on team Walt. I must ask how noble it is to ensure the prosperity of one (three in this case, skyler, Jr., and holly) at the expense of thousands?

In other words is it okay to hurt others for your own well being?

The way I see it Walt is destroying both lives and families intentionally to "take care his family". Not to mention the detrimental impact this has on the economy. How many people get tied into a life of drugs and welfare because of people like Walter White and for that matter Jesse really deserves his situation for all of the slaves to meth he helped create.

Sure you can blame the addict but it takes dealers to propagate that addiction and exploit it for every penny it's worth.

So how do you see it?

It's really bothering me that in some of the actual professional reviews I'm reading, the critics are interpreting Walt's words to Skyler as purely evil. Did they not see how torn up Walt was? Do they not think he didn't already figure the cops were listening?

I mean, maybe next week will prove me wrong, but it seemed pretty clear to me that he was fully aware of what he was doing and was protecting his family.
I wouldn't be surprised if they found some of his words misogynistic or something. I mean, Skylar is not the most popular character on the show already and now you have Walt calling her a stupid b-. Heh, even Aaron Paul said his favorite 'bi**h' was in this episode (which I'm assuming was Walt's use of it towards a woman).

My REVISED guess:
Walt kills Nazis and Jesse kills Walter.

At this point I can say I have some sympathy for Walt, but that is not the same at all as being on "Team Walt". At this point if you're on Team Walt what exactly are you rooting for? Previously you could say you were rooting for Walt to "get away with it", but now? The jig is up. He's lost everything. There is no more getting away with it.

We're all in the same boat now in not knowing what Walt's ultimate goal is going to be here. Sure, it's probable that revenge is going to factor into it...but I have a feeling Walt is going to be somewhat of a changed character in the final 2 since the status quo has been rocked hardcore. Therefore I call BS on anyone who'll undoubtedly say stuff like "I've been Team Walt all along!1".

In all seriousness though, I think the whole "Team Walt" thing is really dumb. As someone who has grown to hate Walt over the past few seasons, I found it especially striking and powerful tonight to feel a smidgen of sympathy for him again. In other words, just go along for the ride and witness the transformation of Walter White.

That's some Cage-level overacting there.

As for your guess: [blackout]I wouldn't be surprised if Walt lets him do it.[/blackout]

My favorite part was seeing Flynn combat roll Walt off of Skylar before throwing himself in front of his mother to protect her. Best moment for Jr. in the entire series.

Team Walt at this point is about shooting up a **** load of Nazis. If you're not Team Walt you're for the NAZIS! :cmad:

So I've regained my strength, going to watch it again. Wish me luck everyone!

Man I just feel all empty inside.

At least there's a week to recover before the next batch of feels as a result of Vince Gilligan and his writing.

Do you share similar thoughts about the Budweiser guy that stocks the shelves at your local grocer?

Walt has done plenty of bad, but not nearly the damage wrought by government prohibition of certain drugs. By eliminating a free market, you create a black market. It's that very prohibition and the users themselves that enable a Walter White, not the other way around.

It's the difference between Al Capone and your local Budweiser merchandiser.

Haha, yeah but my point is- sure we will all enjoy seeing Todd's gang get what's coming to them.

But this (potentially) avenging Walt is something new. I still hate the greedy, scheming, manipulative Walt and never rooted for that guy. And I think a full-on redemption for Walt would be something of a false note for the show to end on. Walt still needs to get what's coming to him.

Now make one of her saying "Mama" and her inside the fire truck, I DARE YOU!!!

I feel like crying

I haven't made any for this episode... yet, I'm just finding them on tumblr.

"Team Walt" doesn't mean you think everything he does is justified or right. It just means you like the character, and you're rooting for the bad guy. People do it all the time. Characters like The Joker and Darth Vader do crazy heinous acts all the time, but people still root for them, because they enjoy the character.

Todd's crush on Lydia, to make better product, ended up saving Jesse.

I can't wait for Jesse to use that red phosphorus trick on Todd.
I was thinking about that too, wouldn't be surprised if at some point...

Think fast bi**h!!!

I can understand a certain level of sympathy. That's only human but I've read comments that seem to glorify what Walt will do for his family and this somehow outweighs all of the destruction his actions have caused.

I'm not convinced that's what the M80 is for. I don't know if Hank's death will spur him to get revenge.
