Breaking Bad - Part 8

Orrrrrr, he could've meant the hit was for Hank, and was actually successful with it, too. And after he died, Gomie knew the truth, and was pissed off and trashed Walt's house. But then why would Carol be shocked?

I dunno, just speculating....

I dunno, at this point in the game, I think he's more likely to put a hit on Hank than Jesse.

But I'm going with the "fake his death" scenario.

But as far as Walt knows Hank has backed off. He doesn't know that him and Jesse are working together. So then by making a call to go after Hank after Jesse threatens him doesn't really follow.

That's why I think the hit will be for himself. ;)

Doing the hit on himself is...pretty far fetched, I think. If he really wanted to fake his own death, why would he even go to Todd? Why not just do it himself, or call Saul's guy to just have him vanish with no trace.

Anyone think there's going to be a death in the next episode?

Its just that we know Walt sees Jesse as family and he doesn't even want to hear offing him or Hank as a suggestion. Shot Saul down both times on such an idea. We see that Walt came up with the 'confession' as the solution so maybe he can come up with another such plan for Jesse.

Although it seems both times Todd and his uncles were hired for a job it was to kill.

Yeah, I don't really see an easy way out for getting Jesse off his back like Walt found for Hank (which didn't actually work, but Walt doesn't know that, yet). I really think he's finally going that full measure, especially with being pushed into doing so by Skylar.

This show has turned me into a fickle wreck who is flip flopping between sides on a weekly basis. :cmad:

Last week I didn't think anything could stop me from rooting for Hank but yup, his attitude towards Jesse this week absolutely disgusted me. **** you Hank!

Great episode and it was nice to see Walt show some genuine emotion. Never thought I'd soften towards the same guy I was calling an evil bastard last week, but I was almost getting weepy at seeing him argue against killing Jesse while his wife and Saul were demanding he do it. He's not totally dead inside....yet.

Despite all the horrible things Walt has done, there is one part of his humanity that he hasn't lost yet: his love for his family. He refuses to kill Hank and Jesse (who he sees as a son) for that very reason.

Next episode could go either way. On one hand, one can argue that Walt didn't order the hit on Jesse because ordering a hit on who he views to be "family" is the one and only taboo thing he can never do. On the other hand, we've also seen Walt cross many lines throughout the show that we didn't expect him to cross and one can argue that him ordering a hit on the people he loves in order to protect himself will be his final step in his complete transformation from Walter White to Heisenberg.

he had always a interesting relationship with jesse. it was not all about manipulation, jesse being naiv, being a puppet, in the beginning it was some kind of father son relationship and he really cared about him.

sad that at this point he will lose both sons..

This is grasping at straws, but maybe the hit wont even be a hit. Maybe Walt gets Todd's Uncle to capture Jesse so they can have a "talk" or hold him until he cools off.

[BLACKOUT]Remember, this is only grasping at straws.[/BLACKOUT]

I said a few weeks ago, instead of going into hiding for (a) faking his death, (b) hiding out from DEA...

He does it out of shame, for finally doing what he never thought he'd do (c) killing Jesse [directly or indirectly].

Also... LORD,

I hate spoilers too. But, I know when and where to stay away from if I haven't seen a movie yet, watched that sports games live, or have been caught up on a tv show.

Case in point; for Breaking Bad 510, I stayed off the web until Monday afternoon because this thread and Twitter/BookFace would be discussing it. It's simple...

It's one thing when someone discusses a 'death' or a 'twist' but simple storylines that induce future discussions/theories on a tv show should be open once that show airs on the east coast.

For anyone waiting on Luther in the US, more power to you... but, I couldn't and torrent'd the BBC rips just to avoid spoilers and have the ability to discuss that great show with fellow fans live. If I waited, I may had been spoiled or not had any fun because I don't know many people in the US that would enjoy it with me.

"I'm gonna get you where you really live"

What are your thoughts on Jessee's threat?

Guys guys GUYS... come on.

Jesse is clearly talking about his dipping sticks. :o

Oh dear god, Jesse is going to deliver a pizza to their house....and not include the dipping sticks.
