For me, I don't think I remember him ever suspecting that Huell lifted the cigs from him for Walt. I remember him thinking Walt poisoned Brock, but I really don't recall that part, so that's why I didn't get it at first. I got that Huell lifted the weed, but I really didn't get why Jesse made the jump from that to him lifting the ricin.
Jesse did mention it when he had the gun to Walt. When they were arguing about when he could have poisoned Brock, Jesse said, "you had Saul do it! I went to his office earlier, and he just had to see me! His big bodyguard patted me down. So that's when he did it, right? THAT'S THE PLAN! WAS THAT THE PLAN?!?".

We burned through the entire last thread in under 10 days.

Gotta give us more room to breathe with these threads, SHH...

Ah okay. I really don't remember that line. Something for the series rewatch when it's all done and finish.

funny thing is, that is exactly what walter wanted jesse to think. he wanted him to come over and accuse him of doing that. this was his plan. he relied on his ability that he can manipulate jesse into thinking that gus was behind it. that is the beauty. this is what makes jesse go crazy.

The biggest thing I've never figured out with the ricin/lily of the valley was how Walt got the poison to Brock. Did he go to the school and give him a cigarette or something? The timing was very strange

Saul or one of Saul's people managed to slip it into his juice box.

It was probably 'ol Billy Red Face that did it.

I still remember not too long ago how there were so many people adamant that it couldn't possibly have been walt who poisoned brock and that he would never go that far.

:funny:

Huh? People doubted that it was Walt? I thought that was pretty clear at the end of season 4...

I don't think I doubted that it was Walt, but I did doubt the theories of the Lilly of the Valley, and Huell lifting the pack of cigs from Jesse. Of course, I was totally wrong about it.

It's like the show went out of it's way to stamp out the few remaining doubters out there.

Has someone compiled a list of who walt wouldn't be willing to kill on the show at this point? It probably begins with Walt Jr. and ends with Holly. Although I think she was in the same room as him when he hid some money?...run.

I don't know why Jesse is so upset. Gus threatened to kill Walt's entire family. He had to do something. If not for Walt poisoning Brock, Hank would be dead, and who knows who else. If Gus never threatened Walt like he did in the wasteland, he'd still be alive. But if you follow the threads all the way to the beginning of this Walt VS Jesse conflict, it was Jesse who started it. As I recall, if Jesse just let Gus' little two dealers go, they'd all be safe and happy (Well, I don't ever think Jesse can be happy, always crying about something). Walt picked Jesse over Gus, thus, bringing us to where we are. I will always root for Walt. No matter what, because as I see it so far, he is in the right.

You do know, by rooting for Walt, you're a misogynistic *******, who doesn't understand the difference between right or wrong? :oldrazz:

Yeah Jesse shouldn't be upset that a child he cared about was poisoned in order to manipulate him.

That's been my thought for awhile. Not to completely absolve Walt of the **** he's pulled, but if Jesse had just let the Combo thing go, they wouldn't have killed the kid, Walt wouldn't have killed the dealers to protect Jesse, neither of them would've ended up on Gus's **** list, Gale wouldn't have needed to be killed, Victor wouldn't have been killed... aaaaaall the way to where we are now. They had a nice arrangement going before that.

That said, him being upset about Walt harming a child to protect himself.... I really don't see what's to NOT understand about that.

you know why he picked jesse? you know why he went to jesse in the first place in the pilot? he can do whatever he wants with jesse. he doesnt see jesse as an equal partner or someone who can keep up with him.

gus was someone who was in another league. gus was someone who realized that walter only needed jesse for his own purpose and that jesse can do it without him. he gave jesse the confident that walter is not necessary. this something that walter always feared that someone could replace him. that jesse might work without him. every relationship jesse had with a person that gave him confidence/happiness was destroyed by walter..

Walt has tried to get Jesse out of the game plenty of times. Jesse threw himself into the fray, he made and dug his own grave.

Yes, it was wrong that Walt poisoned Brock, but what would have been worse, one kid getting a hospital visit or Gus sending in a death squad to execute baby Holly and Walt Jr? Jesse wasn't going to help Walt without Walt doing what he had to do, which was something wrong, yes, but most of you would have done the same thing, if backed into a corner and the threat of death hung over your family. At least, I would have. I don't think that makes me sick or even Walt. You pick the lesser of two evils and try to save everyone you can. Brock DIDN'T die. Walt knew what he was doing.
