Fantasy Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the Vampire - Part 3

Very cool pics! You got to be around Glory AND Cordy at the same damn time.

LOL JK! Very nice.

Charisma obviously inherited her character's fashion sense. Claire looked nice at the con but nothing jaw dropping like Charisma.

I thought Charisma was the best dressed female guest of the lineup at '90s Con IMO. 95% of the celebs were dressed casually, even Mario Lopez. She made Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash look homely. Ian Ziering and Breckin Meyer were the only guys that really dressed up, while James Marsden wore the kind of colorful suits you'd normally see Taika Waititi in.

this motivated me to finally start Angel Season 5 last night. i guess my mourning period for finally having finished Buffy is over.

i remembered really quick that i didn't like Eve back then and still don't.

I haven’t finished Angel S5 after the end of S4 left a sour taste in my mouth. And how Charisma was done dirty by Joss didn’t help things.

I don’t think any season of Angel had a pivotal and darkly hilarious moment like in S2 when Drusilla and Darla crash W&H’s wine tasting party. And Cordy, Wesley and Gunn are just jaws agape after Angel tells them that he locked them in.

Flashback article:
The execs said the weblet had been in talks to renew the quartet of series even before 20th Century Fox moved “Buffy” to UPN late last month.

As for the fall sked, which will be unveiled to advertisers Tuesday morning, Levin defended the decision to make a number of major moves.

“It’s a fair amount of change but it’s not that much different from last year,” Levin said. “Every 8 p.m. show is a returning show.”

The WB’s new lineup also includes former “Buffy” companion series “Angel,” but not fellow 20th Century Fox TV stablemate “Roswell.”

In a surprise switch, “Angel” will shift to Mondays at 9 p.m. following “7th Heaven”; UPN is now seriously considering picking up “Roswell,” though a deal is not yet in place.

The execs said they ultimately opted to hold on to “Angel” in the hopes that it will recruit its own audience in the tough post-“7th Heaven” timeslot (opposite “Ally McBeal”). WB execs were also reluctant to give up “Angel,” which would have then been paired with “Buffy” on UPN, giving the rival web a strong night.

“(But) we suspected that (UPN) would put ‘Roswell’ behind ‘Buffy,’ so either way we’re handing them a night,” Daniels said. “It’s also important for us to keep and grow our male audience, and ‘Angel’ ranks high with men.”

Happy Birthday 'Chosen'. A great finale. I get preferring 'The Gift', and while I think seasons 6 & 7 have plenty of issues, I'm glad the show ended with Buffy redefining the slayer story rather than falling victim to it.

That's an awesome way to describe it.

so glad someone bumped this thread cuz i was looking for it.

i watched the Season 5 episode last night where Cordelia wakes from her coma.

Man, she was a breath of fresh air for this season. I don't remember it being so drab and boring when I watched it all those years ago. Loved having her back. Her hair was great. wardrobe great. That's our Cordelia.
Hated how it ended.

I did not know back then what i know now about what went on with her and Joss but she deserved so much better. Having now seen Buffy (finishing it this year) and going back through Angel, I think by far she is my favorite character from both shows.
She's also probably part of the reason Caroline Forbes was my favorite from The Vampire Diaries.

Like I'm still mad about this episode. ugh :argh:

My head canon is that Cordy became a higher power for real after all the crap she went through. Eases the pain a little. Despite the awfulness behind the scenes, I am grateful for "You're Welcome". As you said, Cordy steps in like a breath of fresh air, Carpenter absolutely shines and shows one last time what a wonderful addition she was to both shows.

Charisma was a real trooper. Having her one condition (cordy not dying) being "agreed to" and then changing it once she signed on was a dirty move yet she still praised how they went about it in the episode.

She was bullied out of her job. It was almost Shelley Long on Cheers level bad.

I started rewatching BTVS and i have to say - I'm only on season 2, but, damn.... the number of plot holes i run into, already is quite astonishing. I didn't remember it was like that so early in the series.
