Transformers Bumblebee Appreciation Thread

Hopefully thsat is true about IMAX, but i cant see them opening one in Liverpool to be honest, hope i'm wrong though.

IMO Ratchet fixed both of those things on BB, there was obviously some time gone by between the end of the battle and Captain Lennox going home, etc, so i think Ratchet fixed BB's legs then, and his voice at the end of the battle.

I know I've said this before, and some others before me, but I absolutely love the relationship Sam and the Bee have. They're both each other's guardian angels: Bumblebee saved Sam in many ways...and Sam saved Bumblebee in many ways. That added a human side to the movie.

And the Bee will always be Sam's best friend. And Sam will always be the Bee's best friend.

Kinda wish I had me a guardian robot in the form of a Camaro...or big Mack Truck....or Pontiac Solstice. :trans:

I've heard it stated that the writers did clarify that BB's voice processor was fixed by Ratchet's laser that he used earlier in the movie, it just took it a while for it to finally take effect. As for BB's legs, I can't imagine Ratchet waiting to fix them. It's not like fixing Jazz is going to do him any good at that point, so he might as well concentrate on fixing the one who will benifit from his services.

That theory or the All Spark. However, I've heard that the novel clears up this little inconsistency with the movie. Same for whether it was Optimus that came out of the pool and not Ironhide. (I think it was Optimus and an overlook by the editing folks, but that's a discussion for another time.)

I got the prequel novel and the movie novel at Barnes and Noble after I saw the IMAX presentation Sunday. I'm eager to read 'em.

And I agree about da Bee's legs. That would be an interesting deleted scene IMO.

^^I'm pretty damn sure that it was Ironhide that came out of the pool, not Optimus.

Its simply the heart of the movie, and without it, the movie would have suffered greatly and been almost emotionless IMO.

I just thought Ratchet finally fixed it off screen while the whole Prime-Megatron-Sam thing was going on.

It was, that is certain, we see him hide behind the trees after leaving the pool, and then behind the trees is the truck he changes into.

But here's what I don't get. We see in downtown that Ironhide is a wee bit smaller in size than Optimus. The autobot that came out of the pool was obviously bigger, making me think it's Optimus.

Also, the legs/feet of the autobot that came out of the pool are red and silver, making me also believe it's Optimus. But no matter. The movie is still awesome with that little inconsistency.

^^What are you basing the size on? Since Optimus's protoform wasn't there standing next to Ironhide it's almost impossible to tell how big the Autobot coming out of the pool is. The little girl is what, 4 feet tall? And while Italian Cypress trees can get as tall as 115 feet, I doubt those were more than 20. There's just too much evidence to say it's Ironhide that fell into the pool, not Optimus.

I was simply basing it on the size of the trees and the house he was standing next to. But of course, what we saw of the house was that it was a one-story, so not much to base it on as you've pointed out.

But yes, I see your points.

Maybe it'll be explained in the DVD commentary. I dunno.

Bumble Bee huh :whatever:

^Again, awesome, these are all getting saved to my comp when i get home!

I'm pretty certain its Ironhide, the robot that gets out of the pool is about his size, plus i think the red and blue on his feet are reflections from the house lights.

Yeah, and since they are right out of their pods in Cybertronian mode, it would be difficult to tell who is who, since they look somewhat alike, i.e. Jazz at the car dealership, Optimus running away in the field...etc.

^Your right, at that point, the only defining factor is size IMO, and the one in the field looked the tallest by some way, hence why i believe its Optimus.

The paper BB looks great, but I think the guy has waaaay to much time on his hands. ;)

The prequel novel is beginning to explain a lot about the Bee, like exactly how he lost his voice.

Interesting.....

I agree. The angle looked a bit distorting, so it's hard to tell.
