Alright, I'm out of here. It's just sad seeing people letting critics shape their opinions, instead of watching the movie and decide for themselves if it's "fresh" or "rotten".

so how many rottens before we get a red?

There are rules. You aren't supposed to post your reviews until later tonight. These two that posted their reviews early are a special type, more evidence can be found in their reviews of their type of special.

Competent people, the ones that will give this movie a fresh rating, understand these rules.

He is making the movie he wants to make rather the movie everyone will accept. That's called artistic integrity. By your train of thought, every type of music should be "pop".

Superman Returns is much more easy to pick apart than Man of Steel. And yet, it has a better rating. I can say the same about a large number of other movies. Let's not pretend what we see on that site is simply the fair opinion of a small number of unbiased critics. I don't have any reaosn to actually believe it is that way.

No that is a flawed analogy, you said that he makes stuff that deliberately makes people uncomfortable, how is that justified? you can get people to think and debate without making them angry.

I can't see the 2nd review.

Refresh the site. He wrote:

With two guys who really can't' act the part as the lead, and minor character as the star on the red carpet, what else do you need to know? Oh yeah, the clip of Lex Luthor looked terrible.

This movie will disappoint big time. Now if Bale was Batman, and Reeve was superman, and Hackman Luthor, you'd have something special. But if a frog had wings he wouldn't; bump his rear hopping.

guess i'm gonna ask for a refund for my friday and saturday night tickets...

This film gets 14% on rotten tomatoes based on 300 reviews, but it doesn't matter because we the loyal DC fans enjoyed it very much.

Unfortunately.... if the word of mouth is horrible and underperforms at the box office, they might think of changing Snyder as head director.

You can't keep giving 400m to a guy who keeps making movies that the general audience are mixed about. The head people of WB only care about making money, not if the DC fans are happy.

Of course we're only 2 reviews in and both are rotten, so we can't make assumptions yet.

Final prediction before embargo ends: 35%-45%.

Aaaaaaaannnndddd here come the trolls.

Seriously, people need to relax. It's '2' reviews, one of which doesn't even show up. Haha.

Uriel Barco's review is still the only one that's showing up.

Anyways, I'm off. Will join you'll when the embargo is lifted, and the madness ensues.

No one is doing that in this thread.

If it ends up below 60 again I will be refunding my tickets. No reason to pay for it and it'll be quite sad as I was looking forward to this for three years.

Screw that. They should have cast Tom Welling and that kid from Gotham!

I kinda see the RT score as the ultimate fanboy trophy. If the critical reception is good, then the movie is objectively good.

That's ********, of course.

Critics are there to form a (supposedly) objective opinion on films based on their merits as a FILM, not as an adaptation of a comic book, novel, video game, or any other medium. That's why they're there. Personally, MOST of the films that have obscenely high scores on RT tend to come across as insanely pretentious and overrated, in my opinion. Sure, you have the Episode 7, Pixar films, Dark Knights and such that please both crowds, but they are rare.

Pretentious? Do you mean challenging instead? I see many confusing the two and complaining about a film if it doesn't have enough "action". Which is unfortunate, as now it seems like you can only have action films making a load of money and being treated by the average public as vastly superior to the ones with better screenplays.

Two Negative reviews so far on RT.
One from Oscar Uriel and the second Uriel Barco.
Thrid negative review I'm guessing will come from another unknown guy named Oscar Barco.

Guys it doesn't matter what score it gets, it could be FFINO bad and i'll still enjoy it.

RT scores are just for bragging rights after all.
You can twist and make it ridicolous, doesn't change the sad fact how important other's opinions dictate your own.
