Snyder did an interview where he said TDKR Batman kills all the time. That made me curious so I researched a bit and found this:

I guess there's at least one moment in TDKR where he kills. [BLACKOUT]Snyder pretty much recreated this for the movie only he's saving Martha.
[/BLACKOUT]

No kill there. Notice no bullet wound on the Mutant? Also, later on, when the Joker makes it look like Batman killed him, it is a big shock to the police and everyone. Yindel takes it as justification for her opposition to Batman because now it appears that he is killing for the first time. They take it as proof that he has snapped and is out of control. That scene loses all significance if Batman had previously crossed the line. If Batman was a known killer, why would anyone have any issue with him killing the Joker of all people?

He only looked at some of the pictures. I'm like 80% sure of it. The other 20% makes me believe he's going off of what someone told him.

I would give this film a 5.5/10 which just pushes it to a 'fresh' rating.

Some parts I LOVED. Some parts...not so much.

"It wasn't that bad! The Trinity!!! WW!! Flash!!!! Yeah story was weak and Lex was dumb but that's ok. Critics are too harsh they were paid off. 6/10"

But 6/10 is still "Fresh" in their minds. So you'd have to tally a fresh rating for every 6/10 review and then it would probably be near the 50's.

Dude, Armond White loved the movie. I feel absolutely no need to argue about its quality anymore.

"Snyder’s thrillingly intelligent use of interior conflict and political antagonism vastly outclasses Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy: Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises — all noxious — which were bellwethers of our culture’s decline."

LMAO.

You really have to hand it to Armond. No one can sound so intelligent while saying something so profoundly stupid quite like he can.

Armond White's review of the Jason Statham movie "Safe" is one of the funniest things I've ever read.

Revised:

30% on Rotten Tomatoes = "It's not for critics it's for fans"

Fan reaction split = "The GA will love it"

B rating on CinemaScore = "It's too sophisticated for the GA"

Armond White says it 'returns soul to the superhero genre' = "I don't know who he is but he's so right"

A week ago if someone had said the long awaited Batman vs Superman movie was going to end up on 29% critical score, I don't think anyone would have believed it.

I so would have. But I have been brooding in my skepticism for 3 years.

I still remember that 3 years ago I said MOS was "panned" by critics, which started a flame war lasting two pages about the definition of "panned". I will never forget how vicious the remarks my use of "panned" garnered.

So...NOW can I call this panned? :D

Oh this is panned alright. The reviews make Man of Steel look Oscar worthy.

No because we've now established critics are paid off. And fans. And Cinemascore pollsters. And

I'm more excited to see it than I've ever been since the film's announcement.

Even DC cast is getting in on it too. Unless people think he was paid to... say this?

I don't know why, but I laughed through this whole thing.

Everytime I come back here, I get depressed. :csad:

Shannon's response made me laugh but also made me think, "Lord, just have mercy on this movie."

The aftermath of this movie is going to be more entertaining than the movie itself :funny:

But 29% level skepticism? You must have been REALLY skeptical.

The guy did make Sucker Punch remember...

Also, I have never liked a single Snyder film (although have never seen his DofD). I found 300 to be a soo bad it's good type of movie and never treated it at all seriously as a film (I was shocked to find out people beyond college jocks seriously liked the movie). I found Watchman to be superficial and empty, completely missing the point of the graphic novel. I honestly could totally see a movie of his tanking into the 20%. He is so one-note that like M Night, the more he tries his shtick, the more tired we become of it.
